Do you have your costume before you leave for your trip or do you buy one at DLR? I was debating on letting my kids pick out there own costume at DLR instead of buying them and packing. Just wondering if anyone knows how the selections are. I know one kid will want to be something from Star Wars and the other would like to be Hannah Montana or something sort of girly. Maybe a witch or princess.

Theres always costumes at DLR but you're gonna pay a fortune for them!!! DLR clothes prices are absurd to me. You can try the Disney Character Warehouse north of DLR. Great bargains there but selection is limited. If you will have a car while at DLR there is a Target close by on Harbor and a Walmart not to far.

We know what we are doing and take our own costumes. DD13 wants to be Constance, DD9 wants to use her pirate outfit and be Elizabeth, I'm leaning towards being Tink but I have no clue what DBF is thinking about being....LOL It's easier for us tho, we drive so we can take all kinds of things for our costumes.

Costco sometimes sells disney costumes.
Personally I make my own - much nicer. And there are very easy Star Wars patterns available. I've done several Luke and Anakins - and about to do a Leia

The big World of Disney store does have a good, but full price, selection of princess dresses. There's also the the new BBBoutique - think they have them all.
Disney store on-line has specials this time of year.
The ONLY chance for Star Wars costumes in the park is in Tomorrowland if they still have the shop tie-in for the Jedi Training Academy - but I think I noticed it had changed theme last time we were there.

We are packing ours, DD (4 yrs old) has princess dresses for every day we are there, but I think she is planning on being Ariel for Halloween (thank goodness for ebay).princess: DS (2 yrs old) is going to be candy corn, he doesn't get a choice and plus he doesn't really care:rotfl2:
