Has anyone booked the special buy 4 get 3 free? I was wondering if this really is a good deal?

It ended up being a good deal for us - here is why... I had already booked our vacation this past October 08 before the 4/3 special came out. So in essence, I had a budget, or what I was already willing to spend in place for a 7 night trip... so when the special came out, I called and got my current reservation changed to the special which cut $1500 off of what I was initially prepared to spend for our trip. We are booked at the Polynesian, a deluxe resort, so the savings appears greater because the per night rate is higher than at a moderate or value - so depending on what level of resort you choose to stay in will determine your amount of savings in terms of actual dollars. But if you look at it as being able to extend a 4 night vacation to a 7 night vacation and still paying for 4, it's a good deal! It is allowing many to stay longer from what I've heard and read here on the boards. Good luck with your decision!!

Yes it is a very good deal - we normally vacation in Disney for 10 days - this year we will go for 2 weeks for less that we normally spend for the 10 days! Because we are essentially paying for 8 days and getting 6 free, we are saving money this time around!!

I'm so pumped - 2 weeks!!!

We were already booked at the GF for the end of July (value season) before this deal came out......so we just modified our dates to the end of June (regular season) to take advantage of the buy 4/get 3 deal. By changing our dates but keeping the same resort, we are saving $1250 (even with a higher price per night) over what we would have paid in July during value season.....so it is a great deal for us .

We were originally only going to be able to afford 4-5 days at a value resort. With the deal we can stay longer and I even booked us a moderate resort because the price difference was minimal since we got 3 nights for free.

Thanks for all the responses. We usually go in Oct and were worried about the spring break crowds in April. The deal helps alot.

I think it's a great bargain! Wanted to go to Disney next year but wasn't sure. This special sealed the deal. Small compromise with the hotel. Last trip we stayed at POR and my nephew loved it. Went with the value to keep costs at bay but added the water park and hopping options as well as the quick service dining plan. That's something we did not have last trip. And with this special we get to stay longer. more fun!!!

I have sliced and diced the numbers all kinds of ways.

What I finally did to see a real hotel price per night is deducted the cost of our 7 day tickets out to see what the grand total for the hotel was (and deducted the $200 gift card). With the GC promo, we are getting the hotel down to $25 per night for each of the 7 nights. Even without the gift card promo., the hotel would be $57 a night with tax.

i go down over the memorial day holiday each year,so i get the weekend, holiday, and spring rates all at once. so it turned out to be a real good deal for me, i'm staying from saturday to saturday for what it normally costs me to stay from saturday to thursday.

I would say it's a deal. We had already booked our trip and for what we got back, even remaining at POP and the $200 gift card, it basically covered our flights and we are staying for a whole week for the first time!!

It worked out great for us. I had been quoting the price for 4 prior to the 4/3 deal. After the deal came out, we could have booked for $700 less staying at CBR. Instead we added my DS added another night at the ASM Suites and are paying $50 less than what I was originally quoted. Not counting the $200 gift card.

I think the 4/3 deal is a great value! We were able to get 6 nights, 7 days with MYW Park Hopper tickets, the Deluxe Dining Plan, AND airline tickets with a savings of $300.00 from what we had originally booked.

its a GREAT deal. if you want to check, price the same vacation your thinking of taking, but during a time of year where the promo isnt offered, you will see a drastic savings. at least for Disney, they dont Discount too often, take advantage while you can !

Booked for June09 and it saved us over $700 vs norm rates!!!!
Did not plan on a WDW09 vacation BUT with the 4/3 deal, could not pass it up!!

I haven't booked yet but this really sounds great. It's a very good deal. You can spend more time and saves money a lot.
