WE have booked our flights and are going to DLP before our med cruise! Decided to stay at the Explorer's Hotel for 3 nights and then go to Paris. We've got the Adagio Buttes-Chaumont booked for 7 days before we head off to Barcelona.

I have a few questions:

1. Any reviews on the Explorers Hotel? How to get their from airport cdg.

2. How to get to our Paris hotel from the Explorers?

3. Is arrondissment in the metro zone 1-3? We're getting a Paris Pass and if the hotel isn't in the zone, there's no use getting it and we'll all the passes separately.

Any advice would be helpful. This is all scary and new to me. Any of you who've been to Paris before could really help me out. Thanks!

Buttes Chaumont is a large park in the 19th.

If the postcode of your hotel is 75019, which it should be, you are zone 1.

All Paris addresses 75001 - 75020 are in zone 1

From the airport you are best taking a shutle from one of the companys people on here use like RS Transport, Ezyshuttle or Tio.

From DLP to Paris you can take the RER - a single ticket from Marne La Vallée-Chessy to any metro in Paris will cost 7.30€ pp

You could also see with one of the above shuttles the cost

Use the interactive RATP map to plot your journey on the RER and then use it for seeing the metro around Paris to help plan your time. You are far from the main tourist sites up there and will have to take the metro and buses everywhere. No walking to museums and monuments.

Yours is very simple - line 1 direction Chateau de Vincences, go 1 stop and change at Charles de Gaulle Etoile onto the RER A direction Marne La Vallée - Chessy and get off at the end ;)

It's 1 ticket at 7.30€ per adult and it's for the whole journey. Don't know if there are people at Porte Maillot as I haven't got on there in years but if it's only a machine they are in English and very easy to use :goodvibes

thanks carrie great info as always ,traviling on my own with two teenage girls so i like to have a good idea of what im doing ,or a least look like i know what im doing x
