Butterfly House at POR?

Am I crazy or at one time did I read something about there being a sort of greenhouse at POR that housed butterfly species that you could visit? I thought it was behind one of the mansions.

I have stayed there and don't remember anything about that. I could have just not heard about it, but it wasn't mentioned to us at check-in, nor did I notice a building like what you're describing near the mansions (we stayed in Magnolia Terrace, I believe it was called)

I read the ladybug releases have been discontinued.

Yes, there is a butterfly box at POR (or there was in 2/03), and it is on the river side of Acadian House in the courtyard. It is a butterfly chrysalis box, like Anne said the BC had - so it's not like you're guaranteed a walk in a garden swarming with butterflies, but it was neat since we'd never seen one.

That's so cool. I've not heard about this at BC before. We'll be there in less than a month! I'll have to look for it.

There's one at the Contemporary too! In between the tower and building North. Saw it this past June.

OHHH! I am so excited! I know the butterfly garden at Epcot, but I never realized the resorts had some too! I will be staying at BC in a month, so thanks for this thread, or I never would have known unless I happened to find it accidentally.
