Does IOA sell Butterbeer to go? We have a niece is a HUGE Harry Potter fan and thought this might be a nice gift to bring back home with us for a gift for her. If not, any other ideas that would make a unique gift. She said a magnet or something like that was fine, but we really wanted something kind of cool for her that she could not easily find anywhere else.

Thanks much.

You can't buy Butterbeer to go, but the bottles of pumpkin juice are a lot of fun and also exclusive to WWoHP. They make great souvenirs!

I second the pumpkin juice. I wish I had bought a bottle when I was there 2 weeks ago!

The wands are great, if a bit pricey. We didn't go to Olivander's, but at other shops you have a choice of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Draco, Dumbledore, etc., etc.

There are some great mugs, especially the one with the owl on it. There's a black, sort of bland (IMO) mug that says "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter". I bought a great mug with a picture of Hogwarts on it and the words "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" appear when hot liquid (I believe) is added to the mug (I haven't tried it yet).

My daughter bought a Gryffindor tie. There are also Gryffindor scarves. My husband bought a plastic Goblet of Fire to put on the shelf in our "movie room" (Yes, we're big NERDS!).

There are also great candies like Chocolate Frogs, jelly beans, peppermints, etc.

I bought a set of cups with each of the houses on them. Then, when I had a dinner party, I sorted my friends into houses. I thought that was fun! And, they are cheap, like 12 bucks for the set!

:thumbsup2 My husband walked all around the store holding those cups. When he finally made it to the register, he decided he didn't need them. But he needed a plastic Goblet of Fire. :confused3

Of course, he's kicking himself now about not buying those cups!

My brother and SIL got my kids each a wand and a bag of every flavor beans. They had a GREAT time on the drive home trying beans

The glass candy jars full of the fruit jellybean like candy are really cute and delicious. Then she can use the Honeyduke's jar for something after she eats the candy.

Probably the pumpkin juice in a bottle for around $7. It has a pumpkin on the top WWOHP on the back of the label. Honeydukes has some cute candy, the ones in jars say Honeydukes etc.
You CAN buy a 'Butterbeer' plastic mug (heavy plastic) which has a
'Butterbeer'raise imprinted label on both sides and the WWOHP on the bottom. If you have no objection you can buy the Butterbeer in the souvenir mug drink it and wash out the mug and take it to her. If you think that is too tacky you can buy the empty mug I believe for the same price (around $11).

Time turner key chains a post card with a postmark from Hogsmeade. Just depends on how much you want to spend. They do also have some pretty neat magnets and also keychains.

I'd buy butterbeer in the souvenir glass for yourself, wash it out and bring it home. And I second the idea of the pumpkin juice. I am really glad I bought one of those and brought it home. It's a unique bottle. It sits in my office and I get more questions about it than the butterbeer cup.

Definitely buy a postcard, fill it out, and send her one from Owl Post so she gets the Hogsmeade post mark. You can buy the postcard and Harry Potter stamps in the park.

Those are some of the cheap options that are unique to the park. A fair amount of the other stuff you can buy online. Beyond that, it really depends upon what you want to spend and her personality/age.

Sometimes I wish I had a bigger sweet tooth. ;)

We're going in June, so I haven't been yet. But the mug idea is great and I saw on etsy that a woman has cloned the butterbeer recipe and is selling powder you mix with something to make your own butterbeer. looks cool! I want to try the real stuff at WWOHP first though! Can't wait!

I love the chocolate frogs! A really nice big chunk of chocolate in a nice box with a collectible card. Good chocolate too! :)

I agree the postcards and post mark are a deal but I'd bring the postage stamps from home. They're ridiculously expensive at the parks (what is up with that, lol). I think the Honeydukes candy jars are one of the best deals in the shop.

Wow!!!! Thanks for all the great ideas! I forgot to subscribe to this thread and just now found these again. (New to this site). LOL. The pumpkin juice and candy jars sound awesome. Also, I think I might send a few of those postcards out too to some others who like Harry Potter. So, I better start getting some addresses. :rolleyes1

Six days to Disney and 11 until Universal. :cheer2:

You guys are great!!!

Does anyone have a rough idea how much the candy jars from Honeydukes are? We are going to Universal for the first time for 2 nights before our WDW trip and I'm trying to budget how much money the kids will need for souveniers. They don't spend much at WDW now that they are older and would prefer to ride the rides more than standing in a store for an hour. I'm afraid they will go crazy in Universals shops especially WWOHP!!!!!:wizard:
