Those that have been what was it like?

Just been talking to my friend and was thinking of going to 2 nights in October with our little ones.

Be the Bognor one.

The shoreline hotel looks nice and rather posh :rotfl:

weve beena few times, were actually going half board this easter weekend in a gold appartment courtsey of mr T :thumbsup2

half board ive always stayed and the food is great the kids love the pool, couldnt do more than few days here though a weekend or short break is long eough ....:rotfl:

weve also been for fireworks and the displays are good:thumbsup2

We have been several times for New Year breaks and also a Rock Tribune weekend.

The gold accommodation is very nice and would recommend it to the silver.

We all love it and it works out better value than Center Parcs as more stuff is included.

Hope you have a great time. My moto is any holiday is better than work!

My DD7 would love to go but eventhough it's out-of-date, I can't get the "Hi-di-Hi" image out of my head.:sad2:

I went to the Minehead one once and it was like a concentration camp!! I hated every minute of it, but I don't have kids so alot of it was probably wasted on me!! I just thought it seemed really run down and there was rubbish everywhere. :sad2:

Did bognor last year for 5 nights and you are very wise in only doing 2:rotfl2: Accomodation was fine, you pay for what you get so might be worth going gold, i was in silver though and was happy enough, I did self catering as these apartments give you more room than the half board, food used to be bad but people seem to like it now. Only thing was I found myself dropping a bomb in drinks, food and some activities.
Your DD will love the entertainment, Bob The Builder show about 5 times a day, mini fair rides inside the pavillion, trampolines, plenty of playgrounds, a pottery studio where she can paint her own, the central shows and story times, puppets, and of course the swimming pool.
So yeah if its a weekend then you and DD will have a great time and Bognor is a good site, watch out if you venture out to look at the sea (just across the road) as you could well get blown away:rotfl2:

Oh yeah, I happened to work down at Bultins Bognor 10 years ago for a summer and even though it was work I still had a blast there;)

I dont think i could manage more than 2 nights there :rotfl: Bob the builder doesnt really do much for me:rotfl2:

Thanks everyone for your replies..will prob go and stay in the Shoreline hotel.
I really was dead against Butlins as it wasnt "Disney" but as a short little break with my friend and her daughter it doesnt seem to bad.

:rotfl2: went for a hen week once, (about three years ago) it was terrible, really dirty. We did have a laugh tho at the cheesey discos and tribute act nights. We got really in the mood and totally chavved it up! personally would sooner have one day at DLRP than a fortnight in butlins.
