Hi we are going to be at DLP from mon nov 19 to fri nov 23rd...can anyone give me an idea of how busy it will be. we arent really early risers when we are on holidays and are staying at the DLH and would like to enjoy a lie in and then a nice leisurely breakfast so would prefer not to do emh if we dont need to.

We were there Tue - Thu in the last week of Nov last year & the crowds were really low. Most of the rides we did had no queues & we were able to come off & go on again without waiting. The longest we waited was 20 mins for parachutes because we had never been on it before (queue had always been too long before). I was there with my daughters (aged 9 & 4 at the time) so we would have been doing mostly kids rides. I also remember Thunder Mountain being a walk on! We were also lucky with the weather & didn't even need coats during the day until the Thurs.

I'd say you'll be able to enjoy a lie in before hitting the parks. We don't get up too early on holiday either!

We'll be there the first week in Dec this year, so I'm hoping for a repeat of last year.

Hoping with you there from the 2n December x

We were there at a similar time last year and the only thing we really queued for was to see Santa. Most other things were walk ons. It was starting to get busier on the Friday afternoon though.

We too will be going to DLRP on 22nd Nov - travelling overnight on Wednesday 21st and satying until Sunday ;)

Excited Much.....? Yup! :yay:

:dance3:

Lat year we went in the last week of November and the crowds we really low.
Longest waiting time was on Crush (40 minutes), Parachutes (25 min)., Santa - from 1 hour to 3 hours waiting
One day we did a walk after rope drop and that was our mistake. We were with two pushchairs and feeled not comfortable to run. Other people were running and I thought they are running to TM. I was wrong. We were near Santa's grotto 6 minutes after rope drop and waiting time was already about 1.5 hours.
Not the option for us with two toddlers.

So we did it next day. We were at the ropes first and were running really fast and there were only 10 families before us.
So the queuing still took about 35-40 minutes because it's a slow process.

We are there same time too - counting down the days :yay::woohoo:

thanks for advice on santa. was he worth queueing for? Do the children get a gift?

We are going again in December, the last two times we haven't managed to see Santa, because of the long queue times in the cold with 2 young children! :headache:
Can you tell me where/when the rope drop is (sorry to sound dim)!!!!
Is it really worth the hassle ?
Cheers guys ! :thumbsup2

My kids were extremely underwhelmed by Santa. I wouldn't bother if we went again at Christmas.
No gift, no.
