Busy day: HS or AK?!

Planning out my trip and debating one which day to do HS and which to do AK.

We are traveling in mid-December, being at the parks December 12-16. Undercover Tourist and Touring Plans indicate it won't be too crazy. Not dead, but not too bad.

Anyway, I'm debating on which day to do AK and which to do HS. I want to do AK on Wednesday and HS on Friday, just because I like Animal Kingdom more and I like to kind of split up the week with AK... BUT... Friday is HS Extra Magic Hours Evening so I don't want to get hit with too many crowds.

We are ALWAYS at parks at rope drop, just early morning people. We typically stay at the parks until 3 PM.

Which is worse, AK on a busy day, or HS on a busy day?!

So... HS on Wednesday or Friday?!

Assuming the 16th is your last day, wouldn't you rather spend it at the park you like more? HS will be busier on Friday than it will be on Wednesday. How much busier is unknown. I would switch them just because anything that possibly makes for a less crowded park is worth it to me.

Great point. I just love AK and can't wait.

Also keep in mind that there is very little to do at HS right now, so the few rides there are can get absolutely jam packed throughout the day. I would do AK on a busier day, as it can absorb the crowd better than HS can

So I think we'll do...
M - Epcot
T - Magic Kingdom
W - Hollywood Studios (maybe have a shorter day there since its not our favorite park)
Th - Magic Kingdom
F - Animal Kingdom
