I was informed on this board back in February that if I show my companies Chase Continental Rewards card (with my name on it) that my families checked baggage fee for the first bag will be waived.

However, my question is how does this work with ME on the way home?

ME (Bags) collects money for the airlines, so in your case since you don't owe anything you shouldn't have to pay ME (Bags) a dime. That said it wouldn't hurt to print out documentation (from Continental or Chase) that states how many free bags you are entitled to in case someone argues with you.

ADDED: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/travel/baggage/checkbag.aspx#q22 Scroll to the very bottom of the page. Make sure your family is on the same confirmation number or else they will not qualify for free baggage.

Continentals site states: "the primary cardmember should present their active Continental Airlines Chase credit or debit card to an agent. Fees will be waived only at the time of travel; no refunds or credits will be issued after travel has been completed."

What is meant by "primary credit and debit cardmembers"?
