f we don't take a long hard look at these breakdowns in intelligence and simple logic, then what's next? We need to continue to improve and not backslide as some seem to want.

There it is.

The Bush apologists and supporters don't want to take a good look at "the man behind the curtain".

They want to "move on".

Damned right they do and for good reason.

I just want to say one thing to you. I think you need to calm down. We are posting on a DISNEY WEBSITE. We are not going to solve the worlds problems here. I think your pure hatred of Bush is very effident. If you want to prove a point I think you could do it in a less hostile manner. I also think you don't have all ThAnswr's. This war was not just supported by,"us" Did Democrats also vote to invade Iraq? Did Hillary vote for the invasion of Iraq? Before we put all the blame on Bush I think you will find alot of other hands in the pot. Any "information" Bush used to justify conquering Iraq he inherited from Clinton. One last question I thought about. You do seem to know so much. Why is it that Clinton Bombed more countries than any other peacetime President? I wonder if any innocent lives were lost? What about that factory in Sudan? Any lives lost there? Bush and his cronies have alot of friends.

You are regurgitating meaningless, old, and discredited Bush apologist talking points.

Did you not get the memo? The new Bush apologist talking point is: "The criminalization of politics".

Update your playbook as required, please.

No need to apologize for our President. He's doing the right thing by being proactive against terrorists and terrorist supporters.

Clinton's appeasement / lack of real action did almost nothing. What was his "play" book? ;)

The terrorists are not going to go away by whistling and pretending they will just leave us alone if we ignore them.

As long as you brought Clinton into it (again) I want you to remember that there was not a huge terrorist network in Iraq BEFORE we got there. It is terrrorist central training grounds now. (unless you think that all Arabs are terrorists - which I do not believe you do)

When you bring Clinton into it (repeatedly) go back further to the 70's and 80's -- and remember who gave help to OBL and Saddam . Oh yeah...what about Iran/Contra - I am williling to bet more than a few Americans and our allies died as a result of that crap.

I was not going to respond to this post again. But I changed my mind. I was reading a post earlier and you came to my mind. It had to do with what people thought of someone who would spend time chatting on a website. They gave answers like losers, weirdos, strange, must have no life, friends or maybe they are cowards who hide behind a screen name because no real people would tolerate their miserable behavior. Maybe they are just not nice people. Then I realized I was thankful that none of the above applied to me. Then I thought about you and others like you and I couldn't say the same. One thing is evident. You lack good manners.

Well aren't you special
And you think calling someone a loser, weirdo etc is good manners?

Yeah, you used more words.

And yes, you're certainly something else.

An old saying comes to mind. If the shoe fits, wear it.

I tend to agree, however I was just pointing out the irony of the post. :cool1:

Actually, no real irony - she is asking people to stop sharing their views Ifor the sake of our soldiers). I am saying give your point of view, I just may not like it.

The ironic part is that her request goes against the wishes of many soldiers. Ones that admit that things are not right and would like civilans to speak up and get people to make changes.

Many Marines and soldiers don't care what your opinion is, they are proud to stand up for your right to speak out. At least I was, even if I disagree with you. I do get upset when others would attempt to speak for me. It just seems to me that this thread has turned into a "do not" "do too" type of thing. When either side gets to the point of calling names, they kinda lose their credibility with me anyway. If I can't expound my point without a "Bob's your uncle", even if the person I am arguing with has attacked me (whoda thunk it?), then I've lost track of my point. Not to say it's never happened to me  but to say that when it has, I was wrong.

I wholeheartedly agree with that - if your point is that you don't want anyone putting words in your mouth you did not say.

I would be more than happy to say "amplify" a soldiers message if he/she were to say -"I have no body armour" or "we need more help" or "we built 5 new schools" or " we brought electricity to Bagdad 24/7". But putting words into their mouth, no.

An even older saying comes to mind reading your meanderings:

"Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

And if the shoe fits, and in this case it does, wear it.
