Buses to water park(s)

Was the change away from direct (or at least shared) bases from resort to water park related to covid, or from before? If due to covid, is there any sign of a return? Otherwise, how is the bus travel via Animal kingdom? My wife may not want to do uber/taxi, and we won't have a car. Staying at Pop (August 7-11). Thanks.

Are you asking about buses to blizzard beach or animal kingdom?

Bus from resort to blizzard Beach. I thought you had to go to animal kingdom first.

It went into effect about 5 years ago. Buses to BB run only from AK, CSR, and at least one of the All Stars.
