Are there buses that run from the parks to Downtown Disney? We will be at Hollywood Studios and are meeting people for dinner in DD. Also, do they run from DD to the parks, because that day Hollywood Studios doesn't close til 1am!:thumbsup2

I do know they go from the rooms to DD so you may have to take a bus back to the resort and then get a bus to DD.

Personally, I would catch the boat from DHS to a resort and then catch the DTD bus from there. Just seems more fun/pleasant than two buses! :)

Currently, no bus service is offered directly between any of the theme parks and DTD. That said, over the course of Sept. and Oct., Disney will be testing direct bus service between DAK and DTD. Hopefully, that's an indicator of things to come!

There is some test supposed to go on from AK to DTD in October or November.

Interestingly they don't start until 1300, late enough to prevent people from going to DTD and taking the bus to AK, just to avoid the parking fee.

I think this may also be partly due to the restricted parking in DTD during the construction.

As others have said, there are no direct buses from any of the parks to DTD (or vice versa), with the exception of the test route between AK and DTD in the evenings. I do think the new test route is an interesting idea and it makes sense because AK closes so early and it gives folks a chance to easily get to DTD and have dinner and do some shopping.

OP, you can take a bus from DHS to any of the resorts and then transfer to a DTD bus. You can also walk or take the boat to any of the Epcot area resorts and then bus to DTD. The Swan and Dolphin are the first boat stop, so that's an option. They tend to share a route with each other, plus the Boardwalk. You can also take a taxi directly from DHS to DTD and then from DTD back to DHS. I'd allot about $20 plus tip. That's probably the fastest option. Otherwise, allow about 90 minutes (the rule of thumb is to allow about 45 minutes leg of the journey) if using Disney transportation.

Actually the AK-DTD route started September 1st but it drops off at DTD in the West Side depot. As stated its from 3pm to 1am.
