How are the buses from the Swan and Dolphin? We've stayed there before, but I can't really remember. Do they stop at other resorts, like BW? What is the typical time to MK or AK? We have reservations there now, but if the travel times are too long, we may consider switching. Thanks.

I know that when we stayed at the Beach club in October 2006, we did share a bus with the Swan & Dolphin. It made for some loooong bus rides. The longest ride we had was to the Magic Kingdom. From the time we boarded the bus till we got off it was 40 minutes. But they may have been training some new bus drivers, because we experienced different scenery each time we went to the Magic Kingdom.

Honestly, the bus situation is the biggest reason we will never stay at a Boardwalk area resort again, unless we have our own car. The second is the fact that they close down Storm Along Bay each night. The kids like to swim after a day in the parks, and being stuck in the plain old boring quiet pool was quite the let-down.

In June we've stayed at the Swan in 2003 and the Dolphin in 2005. Both times we never experienced a problem with the busses at all. I really wouldn't worry about it. The S/D are really great resorts.

We just got back from staying at BC. Busses were shared with Swan, Dolphin, YC, BC and BW. But with that central location, we hardly ever rode anyway. The few times we did ride, I didn't think it was bad.

I think it may depend on the time of the year (expected crowds). In early Aug. it was the Swan, Dolphin and BW sharing the bus.:thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Hi,

We are here at the Swan right now. We took the bus to the MK this morning and it stops at the BW first then the Swan then the Dolphin and then off to the MK. For the AK bus I am not sure where it started but there were already people on the bus when it stopped at the Swan and this was before the park was open then onto the Dolphin and then to the AK. BB is closed for rehab so there was no stopping there but when BB is open you will also stop there. To get to EC or the ST from the S/D you can either walk to take the Friendship boats. Taking the boat over to the ST is a breeze as you are the last stop picked up before going to the ST. We usually walk over to EC and then take the nice relaxing ride back. The transportation from the S/D is great unless you plan on spending the majority of your time at the MK then I would say go with the WL or one of the monorail resorts.
