Hi all--I'll be staying at the Wyndham Palace at the end of March and I was wondering what kind of buses they use. Last year I was at a conference and it looked like they were regular tour buses, not Disney buses. Is this still the case? Also, have to get to the CR right after I check in at hotel (will not have a car) and believe taking a cab would be fastest--any idea what the charge would be. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. :sunny:

One thing I like about the DTD buses for the DTD Hotels, when someone has a stroller, they have to put it in the under carriage of the bus, like a gray hound bus. With the Disney buses you watch families fight in the alies with strollers wasting valuable time you could be heading to the parks. To compare the two, they both get you to the parks pretty quick, depending on where you are.

Yes it is. The DTD resort buses are operated by Bethany Travel (owned by Fleetwood Limousine). They are tour buses.

Taxi would be the fastest if you are in a hurry. Fare would be in the $10-$15 range. If you're not pressed for time, you can walk across the street to the DTD Marketplace bus depot and catch a CR bus right there.

Thank you for the replies. I guess those tour type buses can hold more people, that's probably one of the reasons they use them--though the stairs on them are pretty steep, might not be good for someone who has a hard time with steps. I'll probably take a cab, because I have to be at CR at a specific time. Thanks again, everyone have a Disney Day (or as much of one as you can, if you're not at WDW).
