We just came back yesterday from another wonderful trip to WDW. As always the transportation was good and being at the YC made us close to so many things. My only real complaint about the transportation was the buses from DTD to the YC, or better said, to the whole Epcot resort area. Being our first Adults Only trip, we were at DTD until midnight on several occasions. The wait for a bus to get back to our resort was ridicules. I counted at least two, and in some cases three buses picking up for other resorts while we waited. Then when on did come, there were people from 5 resorts, YC, BC, BW, Swan and dolphin all trying to get on the same bus. I noticed that other deluxe resorts only have two to a bus... GF was with Poly, WL was with CR, and AKL was by it's self. Not only did we have to wait longer then every else we were jammed in like sardines.

So, that is my bus rant for this trip. I guess it wouldn't have bugged me if this was just a single occurrence but it was every time we went to DTD.

Resorts are grouped by proximity and demand. The Epcot resorts are seperated into two groups until about 10:00PM BW, S, D and YC/BC. This is , when based on history, the demand shrinks and the five Epcot resorts are combined.

There are also some internal factors that come into play here that I can't get into here.

AKL gets its own bus because of distance from DTD and because the only other resorts near by are the AllStars and they need their own buses.

After 12am, FW, WL and GF are combined as one route out of PI until the last runs.

In my time driving at DTD, I have seen very few late night Epcot resorts buses full. Most of the time I have seats left over. At MP there is a coordinator who watches the load zones and dispatches as to demand.

Now, because of the design at MP, POP Century is the direct opposite on the Epcot resorts. In fairness to the coordinator, The backup could have looked like the queue for POP and therefore additional buses could have been dispatched to POP and not the Epcot resorts where they were needed.

Did you wait more than 20 minutes for a bus? If you did, then thats an issue that does need to be addressed. If not, then the stated transportation service goals of 20 minutes or less were met.
