Buses for park hopping - can offsite use them

we are staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. Offsite, but closer than a few WDW resorts. That is a trade off between 30 days FP, but persistence paid off and I have a good plan starting next Monday.

My question is can you use the bus system to travel between parks if you are not staying onsite? Do they check magicbands or room cards.

I think I somehow went from MK to Poly to bus to AK, but that was years ago before magicbands.

Yes, absolutely. Anybody may board the buses or Monorail or ferry boats. There is no check. Just make sure you can get back to where you left your car.

You can, but if you have your car, why would you? The car is going to be easier and faster. We always stay off site and I'd never use the buses to hop, we always take the car (unless we're going MK to Epcot, then often we use the monorail).

If you are interested in using the Express Bus for park hopping, all you need is your park hopper ticket and payment for the Express service.

Thanks for replies. We may split up, so that is why we wouldn't use our car. I have never heard good things about the resort bus but I will get the schedule, but have always heard positive things about WDW busses on non high traffic times. At least I know it is an option if I need it.
