Buses and Skyliner working together

I know that some people have been concerned that the Skyliner would be replacing buses, but I found this on another website and found it reassuring. They said: It also appears that Park to Park bus transportation will remain after the opening of Disney Skyliner, so guests who aren’t keen on dangling in a non-air conditioned box at various heights will still have options, as well.

Plus there nees to be overlap with buses and gondolas when gondolas are taken out of service for storm or whatever.

If guests are unsure and go to the front of Epcot for tranportatin then they should hev er be sent back into the park to go to the back where the Skylinber boards.

Please do understand that that information you found on that other website is no more reliable than any information not coming from Disney's official channels. It is as likely as not just something someone else heard from someone else, who heard from someone else, who made something up. In this case, though, there is an official notice that was just released (though it doesn't specify whether, nor how, bus service will change/be reduced).

It was quite unlikely that Disney would do away with bus service from those resorts to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, entirely. What seems logical is a (drastic) reduction in bus service, perhaps even combining bus service across all three/four resorts, with regard to service to those two theme parks. Also, it seems quite logical that there would be a backup plan for replacing Skyliner service with busses when the Skyliner experiences an interruption in service, just like there are such plans for replacing boat and monorail service when those experience interruptions.

I can't seem them keeping busses as a legitimate option from the skyliner resorts. Why pay for bus and skyliner costs when really busses are only needed for very specific instances.

Busses may run but maybe every hour or something unless the skyliner goes down.

Bigger question is does Disney put in a skyliner resort bus stop at like Beach Club or Boardwalk when the Skyliner is down or will they force someone through Epcot? What happens if the guest doesn't have tickets for Epcot and was visiting the boardwalk.

Lots of questions for late this month.

The guest would have to proceed to DHS and take the bus from there to their resort.

There are two stock answers they can provide, if there aren't any other provisions being made:

1. Please feel free to call for a Minnie Van. You can have one pick you up at the Beach Club Resort.

2. You can get back to your resort for free by taking a bus from the Beach Club Resort to the Magic Kingdom and then taking a bus from there to your resort.

I think when the Skyliner is down they'll do more than that but those two choices are other options.

I suppose that a shared bus for Pop Century, Art of Animation, and all of Caribbean Beach might be adequate most of the time. If the Skyliner went out of service, the bus route could be quietly reconfigured to have separate buses for each resort.

If the guest in Future World has to guess whether anything is running from International Gateway then keeping buses running to the Skyliner resorts is a very legitimate policy.

For a guest going to the Boardwalk for an hour or a few hours, leaving there counts as a Boardwalk to wherever trip, not an Epcot to wherever via Skyliner trip.
