We are thinking of a day at busch but have never been and will have three kids aged nearly three and four,

Is this park any good for them or just huge rollercoasters?

I am not a roller coaster fan and there was not much for me and DS who was 6 at the time to do. You do though have the animal part to it which your girls would enjoy, but if your going to AK as well then i wouldn't travel all that way. Just my opinion.

My younger kids (6 and 2 at the time) loved it - they have a great play area for the kids and mine loved the Animals. Its also a little less crowded so I thought it was good for them to run around quite easily.

Took our God daughter age 3 last year, she loved it, so did her Dad, his favourite park. Also my fave, to me its the complete park, something for everyone, every age.
When we aked them which parks this year Busch was the first on the list.

We liked the animals and water rides at Busch. there are also some different things like the cable car and the train safari. Our DD was 9 when we went so a good bit older than your girls. we bought the dining pass too and stopped every now and then to grab cups of strawberries and grapes . We enjoyed it but it is a long journey for littler people. Some things are similar to animal kingdom and the pet show is similar to pets ahoy at Seaworld .

I haven't been since I was 10, but my friends didn't like it with young kids. Hardly any rides and a long way to drive for a zoo...

We tried it for the first time with DD aged 5 in October and had a fun day.

The kids area is ideal for younger kids (DD was too big for some of them - so definitely pre schooler age) There was a water play area she liked - take swim stuff.

The animals, the train around the park, the safari ride. She liked the Air grover coaster (like shamu express) - went on about 20 times.

The characters are sesame street which DD didn't know (meanwhile i'm going WOW IT'S BIGBIRD!)

The biggest perk - going mid week in October was it was super quiet. She was the only one on most of the rides and could ride over and over again. I could sit and watch her in the play area without losing sight of her.

Park was open 10-5 and we stayed all day and didn't do any of the big coasters.

Its not just Oct, even August when we were there last year Lily could stay on the rides as long as she wanted, the park is so big and so much to do we rarely see it busy.
I also like photographing animals, 10 times better than AK for that, I am not a fan of AK at all, Busch everytime for me.
