Hi everyone!

We're headed to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg in early August, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of where to stay. I found a pretty good rate on a suite at the Best Western Westpark (me, DH, DD - 4, DS - >1, MIL), and was hoping someone would either say Yeah! or Yuck!, or maybe have an alternate suggestion. I've never stayed at a Best Western, so I have no idea about them!

Budget is a little tight (or we'd be at the "World" instead), but want someplace nice and clean!

Any help at all would be appreciated!

Thank you!!

I've never stayed at the one in Williamsburg, but Best Westerns are usually clean and well run.

We stayed two nights at the Country Inn and Suites in Williamsburg for $25 a night. This was a timeshare deal through Fairfield resorts. We went to the 90 minute presentation (only stayed 60 minutes) and also got a free ticket to Busch gardens. We are timeshare owners and know how to get in and out of these presentations fairly quick. The hotel was clean and new and breakfast was good! I would pay up to $80 a night for this hotel and consider it well worth it.

Have a great time! I loved Williamsburg! :)

We stayed on-site, at the cheapest of the Colonial Williamburg hotels (sorry the name escapes me). I'm guessing it was about $79 a night, in 1993. It was out of the way, off the main highway and within walking distance of the historic area.

I have a souvenir book. Let me see if there's a name in it.

I thought there were four on-site hotels then. The map in the guide book shows the Williamsburg Inn, Williamsburg Lodge, and the Governor's Inn (where we stayed, 2 blocks from the historic area)). Ah and Williamsburg Woodlands suites.

I have to remember to put his on a "to-do again" list. We had a really nice time. DD was only two, her (and our) first vacation. I'd love to go during the holiday.

We have stayed at the Embassy Suites in Williamsburg and found the hotel to be very nice and includes a full breakfest in the morning which helps save money and can be very filling as it isnt a continential breakfest.
