Not sure where to post this - it doesn't seem to fit in the "Other Orlando Attractions".......

DD9 and I are going to venture out past Orlando - WDW and Sea World on Friday and go to Busch Gardens. I added it to our Sea World APs in January, but we have been having so much fun a WDW that we have not made it!

She is on spring break this week, and we have decided to go on Friday. It will probably take us about 2 hrs to get too and from, leaving us about 4-5 hours in the park. (Have to get home for the dogs!)

Where do I start, we are the must dos? I am clueless about BG!!!!

Looking for any suggestions, opinions, tips!

Thanks!

While it may seem off-topic there, usually posting BGT questions in the Universal/Sea World forums will get you some good answers.

But, I'll try to help you out as much as I can.

Is your daughter a thrill seeker and tall enough to reach height limits? If so, the B&M (manufacturer of coasters) Trio BGT has is unbeatable. These coasters are Montu, Kumba, and SheiKra.

If your daughter isn't a thrill seeker but will ride smaller coasters, Scorpion and Cheetah Chase are fun too. Also, the trio of water rides may be fun for you (I went to BGT a week and a half ago and the log flume was closed for rehab, not sure the current status on that)

If you're into shows, I would definitely recommened Katonga. Its a stage show centered around African storytellers telling stories about animals through song. Also, Pirates 4D (probably the least intense 4D move I've seen) recently opened up at BGT.

Then of course you have the animal habitats. The Gorilla habitat and African Animal habitat are great. Also, Lory Landing is a lot of fun too (purchase sugar water stuff and sometimes the birs will land on you). Theres also the train ride around the park.

You should be fine with 4-5 hours in the park. It shouldn't be too crowded at all and you should be able to see all you want to see. One piece of advice, if there is more than a 15 minute wait for Rhino Rally, its not really worth it. Instead walk through The Edge of Africa habitat, its done much better.

Hope that helps a bit.

Wish I could help you. We're driving to Tampa on 5/20, from WDW, to visit my ds. We'll fly home to Boston, out of Tampa on 5/21. We're planning on doing Busch Gardens both days...hear that you can do a second day on the first day's pass (for a bit extra). But, I'm not sure what the best way to tour is....guess I'm spoiled by knowing WDW like the back of my hand!!!

we love Busch Gardens..But I am also a coaster person.. and love Montu and SheiKa.. But there is so much to do.. like Slacking said - the shows are great and my kids love the animals too. When they were little, they could spend an entire day at Land of the Dragons. The train ride and seeing the animals is wonderful too. The food is good too..We were there over Presidents weekend for a day and ate at the BBQ place by SheiKa.. It was great!! If you ride the sky ride the line from Stanleyville is shortere than the one by edge of africa.
