Hi

We will be in Fl. 6/4-14th. We are spending 3 nights at (probably) Liki Tiki Village (for the kids), and then heading over to Siesta Key for a week. Anyway, I was at Universal Hollywood years ago and loved it. My DH and 3 kids (7,4 and 2), have never been. My DH was at BG when he was a kid, I/kids have never been. They are both offering multiple days at 1 day's price. So, given the kids ages, what do you think would be the better of the two to see? I didn't think Universal/IOA had much for them, but seems like they have more now, looking at the website. And on the reverse, I thought BG would have more for them, but looks like alot of coasters their too small for!! We do like to see animals though. :confused3
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!:goodvibes :flower3: :goodvibes

If you are going to be staying closer to Orlando, then I would go for Universal Studios. You can't beat the price that they are offering. We have never been, but my boys 7,7 and 9 would love to go. My mom comes over to visit us from the Tampa area and the traffic is always bad. If you want to see animals, Sea World is awesome. We went for the first time in 2007 and loved it.

Will it take us 2 full days to see both US and IOA, since the kids can't ride the bigger rides?

TIA!!:)

Just did both in November and I suggest you do Universal. We took my DGD who is 10. I understand you're kids are younger but it'd be a great day for them and no, I don't think at their ages it'll take you two days.

There is Dr. Suessland and a new Shrek ride. Lots of different things to keep them entertained.

While I enjoyed Busch, somewhat-- I don't think I'd go back. As far as rides go, it's mostly coasters and while the animals were pleasant to see... it's not like going to the zoo where you can get upclose and personal, unless you want to do the guided-type tours. We did see a show and thought it was OK, not great (as compared to Disney's type of shows). But, the real thing we did not enjoy was all the smoking at Busch Gardens. I don't know if it's suppose to be designated but if it was, it wasn't enforced. There were smokers in line, walking next to us etc. Just wasn't very pleasant. I don't mean to be negative about BG but given the two, I think you'd enjoy Universal.

Have fun no matter what you decide!

Jenn

My daughter had a great time at their childrens play area at BG. We spent so much time there. There are also rides throughout the park for the younger ones.

She also had a wonderful time at US/IOA but not as much for her as BG.
