We're heading to Busch Gardens at the end of the month and I'm trying to come up with a touring plan. I have several tour books but all were printed before Jungala opened. I'm travelling with three children ages 5, 2 and 10months. Is it worth seeing Jungala and if so, how long should we plan on spending here (water spouts aside... may save that for the end of the day)

I've read its a long wait to see the Tigers and difficult for younger children.. is this accurate?

What about seeing the monkeys/orangatans? Is it doable with very young kids?

Are there many Busch workers wandering with animals around the area or was that just for the opening?

I'm just not sure how much time, if any, to allot for Jungalga... I think all my kids are too young for the rides although my 5 yr old may like the treehouse walks (is it too much for my 2yr old?)

Thanks so much!

Hi,

Our kids love Jungala. I think your 5 yr old definitely will. They have some very intricate playground/climbing set-up.

The animal exhibits are very nice, we especially like the tiger exhibits.

I think your 2 yr old will enjoy the water sprouts and exhibits.

We usually let out kids to play around and let us adult take a break.

A couple of times that we were there, they have folks showing parrots, snakes. Other times there were none.

I would at least budget an hour to take a look at the place. You may end up staying around a little longer.

hope you enjoy

Thanks! That's exactly what I needed to know. Any idea if one time of day is more busy than another? How is late afternoon?

The times that we have been there, early morning (9-11 am) it was very pleasant and not crowded. During the afternoon hrs when it was hot, the place was packed. We were there once in late afternoon around 5-6 pm, the place was ok.

I forgot to mention that your 2 yr old will probably like Land of the Dragrons.

Take your time at Jungala if you can, the last time that we were there, the Tigers was literally on the other side of the glass. We haven't been in any zoo that can do that.
