Busch Gardens: Gwazi and 48" children

I wasn't sure where to post this, so feel free to move if this is the wrong board. My DS7 will be tall enough to ride Gwazi and we're taking a day trip in November. He's dying to try Gwazi and DH has graciously agreed to ride with him . Although DS will be tall enough, he is very light in weight. Do they have lap belts in addition to the lap bars? I rode this years ago and remember it was very rough but very fun. DS loves fast rides and can do all the kiddie coasters with no problem...but this is a big step.

If I remember correctly...Gwazi only has the lap bars but they pull down pretty snug so he shouldn't have a problem. It's been quite a while since I've been over there but I think I'm right.

Just checked with DD as she rode it in July and she said there is belts as well as the lap bar
