Has anyone been to busch gardens? i would love to know what you think..i have a 6yr old that loves anything jungle animally.

We went about 5 years ago. It's a great park. We did the behind the scenes giraffe tour (not the official name but I dont' remember what that is) We got to feed the giraffes and a couple of other animals.

We really enjoyed our time there and will be back at some point.

He would love it. He will see white tigers very rare, silver backs and many more.

There is Rhino Rally what a surprise that ride gave us. Katonga is a beautiful show about African folk stories.

Just a great place in my opinion. Our whole family ;oves it there is something for every one.

We were just there Wednesday, we had a great time. The animals are really phenomenal IMHO, your son would be too small for the big coasters, but there's plenty to do and see to keep you very happy for a day or two. Between the skyway, the Rhino Ralley and the train, you do see an awful lot of animals, and then there are the walkthrough's where you can walk the path and just watch the animals in their habitat. It's really great. I'd highly recommend it.

Check out the SeaWorld forum. There is a very good trip report of Busch Gardens with lots of pics!

We were there in October. It was an easy drive & well worth our time (1 hr 15 minute drive) BUT it was HOT and there is not much shade there. We have been to Williamsburg and expected the same typr of set up, but unfortunately, it just wasn't.

We have Sesame Park passes which got us in free. I recommend looking into a multi-pass with SeaWorld.

The best part for a young animal lover is the tigers. There are little areas that you can climb up a short ladder & "Pop" yopur head into the cat area -- there will be a line wait to do this, but it is well worth it if the big cats are close.

There is also a fun little animal show using many animals "rescued" animals (cats/dogs/etc). Save that for the afternoon as it is shaded.

Also, bring changes of clothes for kids. There is a nice sprinkler area in which you can get very wet.

The Rhino Rally ride is kooky fun (silly jokes like Jungle Cruise in MK)

I don't know about other times of the year, but compared to Disney/Universal Busch was noticably less crowded.

We chose to eat dinner out of the park. There are many options, but you should have a GPS. The area switches from commercial to residential quickly

thank you guys so much...we have a seaworld AP so we get in half price...we are so excited..x

seaworlds fantastic, your son will really love it there. esp feeding the sealions, sting-rays, ect.:thumbsup2

We love Busch Gardens and could not go all the way to USA without visiting there. Trying to budget for this years trip but CANNOT do without Busch!!! As Andrea says, there is not much shade there.
You will love it!!

Caz:)
