Since we're not doing Disney this year, I've decided to give Busch Gardens in Tampa a try. I would like to figure out a game plan for touring the park. Does anyone know where I can get touring info? I've done that for Disney and Universal here on the disboards, but I don't think there's a Busch Gardens board. Could someone direct me on where I could look? TIA!!

why don't you try the sea world busch gardens website..they have some good hints

Not a lot of info as far as planning a visit, aside from the website. I think you'll find that there is less of a need for a "plan" with BG than the Disney parks...

Thanks to all of you! I'll definitely take some time to look at the websites. Does anyone know if Busch Gardens has a fastpass equivilent? I've been sooo spoiled with fastpass, that I just can't imagine waiting in a long line for a ride anymore!! Thanks!

The best thing to do is to hit the slow loading rides first - such as the monorail and Rhino Rally (I'm not sure the monorail opens first thing in the morning). If you're going in 13 days though I doubt you'll have to worry about it. Busch Gardens is a smaller park, easily navigable and doesn't have as many people as Disney does. There is no fastpass alternative, but I don't really think you'll need it - even on the big rides. If you go during the week, it will be less crowded than on a weekend.

well to begin with, Busch Gardens doesn't have a monorail.

as for a touring plan, it depends on whether you are intending on riding the coasters. during the week this time of year, the lines aren't too bad. Sheikra was only a ten minute wait for the front row last week. the park is quite big and there can be a good amount of walking, but it's essentially a large circle. a few acres are under construction right now for the new Jungala area, so that blocks off a good sized area. the animal nursery has been updated and reopened last Saturday. you can interact with and pet a sloth, an alligator, and feed flamingos now, as well as other animals they bring out.

We love busch gardens. I think they are running a special where you can buy one day and get the second day free...

It can be done in one day however we like to take our time and re-do our favorite stuff. It seems to get a little busy after school hours.

Its our favorite Florida thing to do right behind DISNEY! Have fun!:goodvibes

Sorry, I'm an old-timer. It used to...and the line used to get really backed up. I forgot they took it out some years back. :confused3

almost ten years ago. the lines were horrible, because it was a hard decision - do you want to see the beer or the animals? :)
