Bus/transportation question

We have early morning TH breakfast ADRs at AK one morning - 8:15, so before park opening. Will the buses be running in time for us to get there or will we need to figure out alternate transportation?

I have heard conflicting reports about when buses start running - some say 45 minutes before park opening, but our adr is 45 minutes before opening...?

I think they start at 7am. Check with CM when you check in.

UIM internal buses start at 6:30am, along with the resort launches. The MK launch (cruiser) starts 1 hour before park open, and I assume the same holds true for park buses. If that's the case, you would not be there in time for your reservation as it takes 30 minutes or so to bus there. A call to Tusker House to let them know you are having transportation issues will almost certainly hold your 'table'... it is after all a buffet.

Thanks to both of you. We stayed at GF last time, and the first CM told us that they didn't start until an hour before park opening. But then we found out that they started earlier than that for breakfast adrs. (from GF).

I wonder why they make it so difficult to find these things out!

I will ask when we get there - I just didn't know if anyone here had ever gone from the fort to early adrs (and if they took the bus)

We had the same issue in December. When you get settled go to the conscierge (sp) desk and let them know you have early reservations. A van picked us up at our campsight and drove us to AK because we needed to leave before the buses began. Only thing is they picked us up 30 minutes prior to our reservation but it took us 45 minutes by the time we drove to the parked and walked to tusker house. Fyi we also tipped the driver.

I just came to search this topic. But after posting my question called FW. They said they do offer early morning character meal buses like the other resorts do. We did use one when we stayed at WL, so I was happy to hear that. But the posts here still sound like that isn't accurate.

Does anyone know for sure? I know when we stayed at WL we easily made a 8:00 am ADR at AK with the character meal bus that stopped there.

The previous poster did mention this over on the Transportation Boards....but I just can't imagine that Disney is penalizing guests of FtW and not providing them with the same bus service the other resorts have. Even the S/D get those early morning buses.
The early buses start running between 6:15-6:30. Yes, they do come less frequently than the regular park buses but they are there.
I would really be interested in knowing if Disney, really and truly, does not provide early morning bus service for FtW.

YES, the early buses to AK, Studios, and Epcot start at 7am or earlier out at the Outpost!! You CAN get to your breakfast at AK in plenty of time.

However, the boat to MK is a little different.

The large cruiser that goes directly to MK truly doesn't start till about 30 - 45 minutes before park opening. However, the small launches that run between WL, Contemporary and the Fort start at 6:45 AM, so to get to MK for an early breakfast you need to take the small boat to Contemporary, then walk or Monorail over to MK. These boats DO NOT take wheelchairs.

Another glitch if you need Wheelchair access early in the morning to MK, then you need to take the WL bus from the Settlement Depot. It starts about 6:30 - 6:45 am, then take the MK bus from WL to MK. It starts about 7am.
