Bus to Seaworld from the Fort????

We would like to go to Seaworld during our trip and we will not have a car. It has been quite a while since we have been there.
We both remember seeing a bus last year at the Fort when we were getting on another bus that said Seaworld just like our bus said Epcot or Downtown Disney for example. Were we dreaming or is there a bus that stops there to go to Seaworld? or do we have to call and arrange transportation?
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help guys!

I'm thinking you had one too many Kungaloosh's. I seriously doubt Disney would ever provide transportation from one of their resorts to a competing theme park.

You could call a taxi.

One of WDW main goals is to keep you on property and therefore keep most of your money to themselves. That is why they are making adding more days so much more affordable on your tix. As long as you are at their parks, you will be buying food and souvies. They will do whatever they can to keep you hostage (err I mean as their guest).

I didn't think it was a Disney bus but it was some other bus. Would they not allow anyone else to come in like that and pick people up?

Guess we can just call one of those shuttle companies or a taxi to get us?

Hey there, you can catch a Lynx bus at the Ticket and Transportation Center, they leave regularly, they are direct, don't stop anywhere except outside the entrance of Seaworld. It's a $1.50 per person each way and I believe I read that the bus stop from WDW is across the street from the parking lot at Seaworld and the bus back is on the parking lot side of the street. You can do a search here on Disboards (that's where I found most of that info) to confirm and I also checked the schedule at the Lynx webpage (you can get the route # there but I believe the bus has SeaWorld on it). Googling Lynx and Orlando public transport should get you the page.

MEARS also has bus service to all of the attractions around orlando. They will pick you up at the resort's main enterance. The round trip was $10.00 to 15.00 per person. lynx was ok but kind of seedy.

What route were you on and was it very long ago? When we used the system last September the buses were neat and clean, had cushioned seats, and had two monitors that showed the route and where the bus was as it moved along the route. We thought they were pretty decent, as far as buses go.

You can take Lynx bus number 50 from the Ticket and Transportation Center or from Downtown Disney west side bus stop. The TTC stop is on the right of the entrance to the monorail where the off site resort buses pick up.It will drop you off at the SW parking lot.To get back you have to cross the street from the parking lot. It is very easy go to the Lynx site at www.golynx.com for the current times.You can also get to the outlet malls from this stop by transfering to the #8 bus. Premiummall you go south,the Prime mall you go north.

The local area transit authority (LYNX) has a bus stop at the Transportation and Ticket Center. You may want to check their bus schedule to see if they go to Sea World. Other than that, the only other way is by taxi.

Hello Everyone
I promised to update you on our experience utilizing the LYNX bus sytem from WDW to Sea World.
Here's the rundown:
First, it's cheap, $1.50 per person, there is a kid charge, but you need Fla school proof per the driver and the call I made to them. (dollar bills and exact change only, no pennies)
Pick up is either at the transportation hub OR you can catch it at Downtown Disney. We chose the transportation hub because despite being at POR and having the boat transport us to Downtown Disney, A) they don't run the boat as early as we wanted to go and B) we were told that the bus fills at transport hub, so you MAY not get on.
We took the POR bus to MK and the bus driver was then nice enough to drop us right at the transportation hub instead of taking another bus or the ferry across. (LOOK for the pink Paw print sign for Linx.)
First, realize that all the public and employees are on this "outside" Lynx bus. It is DEFINITELY not Disney like on the bus. The bus was dirty, smelly and unfortunately our experience was not all that pleasant. There was a fight going on in the back of the bus and it was uncomfortable for our family. Driver did nothing. (#50 bus)
Then, we are told we will be dropped at Sea World Gate. Well, ACTUALLY we were dropped at the employee parking lot a VERY LONG WAY AWAY FROM THE ENTRANCE. So there we are with no idea where to go and fortunately a very nice Sea World employee explained that we had to walk thru 2 parking lots, no sidewalks, and then get to the Sea World entrance for the public. So, off we went. If we had a small child or any type of disability it would have been a NIGHTMARE. So, it was just the LONG walk and the heat that started us off. The ride itself is about 40 minutes each way.
(By the way Sea World was GREAT)
Then we called back to confirm the return bus times,(about 6ish) they run regularly at like 10 and 40 minutes after the hour. We are told to walk back to the bus stop but cross the street and wait on the other side for a return bus. So, off we went again, NOW even HOTTER and walking on the opposite side of the street , no sidewalk and get to the stop. Several #8's go by and then the #50.
We meet up with two young girls who also were told to take the bus and then stayed with us because they felt a bit afraid and unsure of the situation as well.
Needless to say, I would NOT use the bus again, for the following reasons:
The distance to walk is rediculous (Mears and Taxi's bring you practically to the entrance gate).
It is NOT the same as a Disney bus, need I say more???
I would not even Consider it if I had a small child/ren OR stroller
I would not use it if I had ANY type of disability
I do NOT think I would feel safe any time at night on this public bus (especially doing it alone or with just girls)
I would gladly pay Mears if we decide to go back.
By the way, I did speak to a Lynx Rep AFTER the trip and was told that the driver NEVER should have left us off where he did. We should have been dropped off (on the same street) but directly at the entrance, though that still means walking thru atleast one parking lot.
Well, that about sums it up.
Atleast you'll be informed as we were NOT!
