I don't suppose anyone knows if the bus from Chessy to Provins runs on a Saturday or Sunday?

I can find a timetable for Mon-Fri but not the weekend and didn't know if they just didn't run at the weekend.

Thanks

This is interesting anyone know what the costs are going to provins?

On a bus like the N°50 it's one Ticket t, so 1,90€ each way if bought on the bus or 1,70€ if bought in advance say at the station and 1,25€ if you have bought a carnet of 10 Ticket t again at the station for 12,50€

Depends on how many people are going to see what's cheapest for you :)

We are with 2 persons, but I have 2 ticket t from a few years back that I never used, can i still use them? (bought the wrong ones in the machine, needed the metro ones.)

We bought the tickets in val d'europe to go to disney and the didn't work and the lady at the counter told us we couldn't use it for this part of the line.

Right you needed RER tickets as it's not in zone 1-2 :thumbsup2

So the tickets that you have are fine for Provins and it's a great place to visit and very simple to do on your own without a costly guided tour

We've caught the no.50 bus to Provins, we went on a Saturday and I think it was every hour on the half-hour but as this was back in 2008 the times could have changed. I know we'd looked online at the timetable but went and checked out the one at the bus stop the day before just to make sure of the time. If I remember correctly the fare was €5 return each and it took an hour to get there. The tourist info centre is right by where you get off the bus and the staff were very helpful. Carrie's right that you don't need to spend money on a guided tour, we went every where on our own steam. I remember we hired audio guides for one of the museums and watched an equestrian show that was really good even though we couldn't understand a word (!)

It really is a lovely day out, there's lots of restaurants there but we bought some picnic items and found a spot to enjoy that.

Thanks Carrie, much relieved that we could catch a bus on the Saturday and go when the park is really busy!!!

Double checked on another timetable and it's 1 ticket t now, I think this must have been before they got rid of the zone 7 and now the zone 6 in the Paris, suburbs, and greater suburbs transport system

It says 1,80€ on the timetable which was the price of a ticket in March, went up to 1,90€ on the 1st of July

Great bargain and I think I'm going to go this summer via the bus :goodvibes
