Bus stop question

So I have only stayed at Pop and Coronado Springs before. It was 13 and 15 years ago mind you.

One of the big things I noticed was the bus stop difference. seems most people dislike the multiple bus stops and I see why. But I found standing in the one line in the sun with dozens of people (some holding spots for a family of 6) at Pop brutal and loved that Coronado had covered places to sit and wait.

So I'm wondering do all Value hotels have the same setup as Pop? Do all the moderate hotels have covered bus stops?

I know it seems like a silly question but I found it helped relax the beginning of each day.

All Value hotels have the same set-up.

This design avoids the "everybody rushing to the bus door at once no matter who was actually there first" situation.

Lightweight wide brimmed hat can take the place of a covered bus stop and be with you evrrywhere.

I was just going to say the same, except I hadn’t thought to pack my wide-brimmed hat, and now I will! Usually, a baseball cap also offers some relief as well!

At the Values,we sit in the shade until/if the number of Guests in the queue for the bus we want reaches around 25(the buses will seat in the mid-30s).

Then we get in line.

All of the moderate resorts have the same set-up as Coronado Springs with covered stops and no formal lines. POFQ is the smallest of the moderates and only has one bus stop. Since there is not a formal line, we did find that it was a mad rush to the bus doors whenever a bus pulled up, with no regard for who was there first. This does happen at other mods in my experience, but to a lesser extent because they have multiple bus stops which mean each of them are not as busy.

POFQ has two bus depots, but they are right next to each other. ETA When we were there a couple weeks ago, they had transportation people lining park goers up as they arrived into the correct line depending on which park they were going to. It helped immensely!

Two depots to stand under, but in one place. And I believe some buses pull up on one side and the other buses pull up on the other, correct? Either way, my point was that for everyone going to MK (for example), they wait at the same bus stop. Whereas, at the other mods, there are four separate bus stops in different areas of the resort that those waiting to go to MK can wait at. It helps to disperse the crowd a bit.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I think the bus stops is one (of a number) of the things I like about Colorado Springs. I think I will have to wait out the wait of the new tower I noticed being built. Because if this is going to be the first stop on 4 then as far as I'm concerned what's the point at all waiting at the others.

If it ends up being like CBR, they will posiibly run a bus for each half of the resort. If it's like POR, they will probably send second buses if the first bus fills before completing the rote.

Good to know. I really dislike the "run for the door" or "let's stand in line" methods. I know it sounds petty but with doing it at the parks, and for on the way back I just enjoy the peace in the mornings before crazy beginnings.
If they do something like this or that the tower is more for conventioneers and excited to be back to CSR. :)

I found the same at POFQ and didn't care for it. At the other mods, I've never had an issue with people rushing the bus when the doors open. It seems as if people are so spread out there aren't that many at the bus stop at any given time. Of course, I've never tried the main bus stops at the moderates (which tend to be more crowded).

I like that at the moderates you're really pretty close to a bus stop no matter where you stay within the resort. When staying at the values, I've had some long slogs back to the room at the end of some very long park days.

Good to know about the others. I have stayed at POP and just felt like you mentioned the walk to the one bus stop was blah.

I have never gotten the bus from the main bus stop either but thinking it would be crowded and if we are the stop after that booooo. Last time I think we were at stop 2 and felt like it was so awesome just walking on without battling outside or having to fight for a seat. (I know I keep saying it but it's those little things that make me happy)

I agree! And that literal two-minute walk to the door of the room when I'm dragging at the end of the night? Heaven.
