I have heard whispers of unsatisfactory transfers from BC to the parks - multiple stops at other resorts etc...

Can you tell me of your experiences with this at BC specifically?

I am thinking I should plan to avoid MK & DAK while staying at BC and wait to do them when I move to AKL.

Thanx

We only use the bus to go to the Magic Kingdom. For all other destinations, we use the car.

Last August, our one experience with using the bus to get from the Magic Kingdom (at closing of enight) to the Beach Club Villa went like this:
1. Waited 30-40 minutes for a bus (there were probably 3 times the number of people waiting for a bus in this line than any other line). We asked other bus drivers to request more buses, but none seemed to come any faster than already scheduled. We suggested to them that they KNOW how many people bought enight tickets at each resort - that they could have been prepared, but never heard from anyone that they thought this was a good idea.
2. Third bus comes, we get on, jammed to capacity.
3. Bus stopped in this order: BW, Swan, Dolphin, YC, BC.
4. We could have gotten off at the BW and walked to the BCV faster (and next time, we will!)

They did ask about transportation in the followup web survey for the BCV. Who knows, maybe they have corrected it by now.

The BC bus route is the following
Swan - Dolphin - YC - BC - BW , I have stayed at BW and BC and never had any unsatisfactory Bus experiences.

AK is closer to AKL but MK is approx. 20 min from AKL.

Just returned from the Dolphin and this was our experience. To MK - swan first, then dolphin, YC and then if the bus wasn't full the BC. Our buses never made it to the BW, when the bus was full he would call for a new bus starting at BC or YC.

We always do MK first thing in the am via bus and the service the week after easter was great from Dolphin.

After we are done with MK - usually 1-2pm we take the monorail to Epcot rather than taking a bus back to the Dolphin. We take our time and stroll through WS often having lunch while we make our way through to the international gateway and take the boat or walk back to Dolphin.
