Our last trip we seemed to wait forever for the buses after leaving the parks and saw more buses to Pop with no stops. We shared buses and always ended up standing. My DB vowed to stay at Pop next time because of the better bus service. However, i have read others say the bus service runs basically the same? any suggestions?

All Star Music usually has its own bus on the way to the Parks.

Hey everyone. I just got back from WDW. My friend and I stayed at All-Star Music for 6 nights and 1 night night at CSR........
Buses/Bus Stops: About 90% of the trip, All-Star Music its own bus, so that was good. But the bus stops were just randomly in front of the hotel with no hood over our heads, so we felt like we were being cooked out there. I know its hot in August, but a hood would of been a lot better.
.......

I stayed at Music last September for 9 days and our bus only shared 1 time on the way to parks. That morning it was only half full so we went to Movies to pick up a few molre guests.

Bus rides are quite short from the ALL Stars according to PassPorter.com

All Star Buses-CBR buses---POPbuses--PO buses--- Contemporary
MK 20 min---- 20 min-----25 min------10 min---20 min(mono)
Epcot 10 min-- 15 min-----20 min------10 min---15 min
MGM 10 min----12 min-----15 min------15 min---20min
AK 10 min------20min-------15 min----15 min---20 min
DTD 15 min----20 min------20 min-----15 min---35 min

It only takes 10 minutes to get to Epcot, MGM and AK from All Stars.
MK is 20 min away. That's the same amount of time it takes on the monorail from the Contemporary.

A WORD ABOUT BUS SHARING

To me Bus Sharing at the All Stars is really a non issue.

In the mornings during Park opening hours each All Star usually has a dedicated bus.
During mid day it is usually just our stop and maybe one more on the way to the parks. On the way back sometimes it is all 3 but often Sports and Movies share and Music has it's own bus back. Each of the All Stars usually has it's own dedicated bus back from the MK.
That is a big plus. It seems like the Music bus stop usually has the shortest of the three All Star bus lines.

I guess some people who stay at POP see all 3 All Star names on the return sign of our bus stop when they head to the POP bus stop and think All Stars also has 3 stops on the way to the park.
(Even when we stop at another AS resort to load up it has not taken more than 5 minutes and we are on our way!)

Have fun at Disney wherever you choose to stay!:wizard:

In my experience, and I've stayed at both, the bus service at All Stars was better. I stood more on Pop buses in one week than I have in 7 stays at All Stars.

As for waiting for a bus, I've had waits for buses at all resorts. On average, I find All Stars has the most efficient bus system though.

My experience is exactly the opposite - lots better bus service @ POP than at the AS and the AS resorts always shared buses - coming & going - never got seats on AS buses and never had problem @ POP. That being one reason in many that we stay at POP instead of any of the AS resorts.

While I absolutely love ASMu, I have to say that the buses at Pop Century are much, much easier for me to use. I use a wheelchair, and pretty much the last two times we stayed at ASMu, the bus would arrive with guests already seated and off it would go, leaving me sitting and waiting for the next bus.

One of the main reasons we switched over to Pop Century is because they don't share buses. As best as I could tell, it was completely random as to whether or not ASMu would share buses or not. Sometimes yes and sometimes no. It was just too stressful, so even though we both prefer the style of ASMu, we just didn't want to deal with the bus hassles and so we don't stay there any more.

When was the last time you stayed at Music?
I know in 2002 and 2003 the All Stars shared their buses more often.
I wonder if the seasons make any difference or if I have just been lucky.
My disability has worsened and so the last few years I have been using an ECV at Music.
Since 2004 the buses have always been empty when they stop to pick us up in morning.
There has only been 1 time in the afternoon when the bus had stopped at another All Star before stopping at Music and both WC/EVC spots were aready taken. The driver said he would send another bus.
In less than 5 minutes a new bus was there to pick me up.

I've stayed at POP about 5-6 times and feel very comfortable there. However, this past May I decided to try AS Sports, just for something new. I was pleasantly surprised. The bus system to me was much better than it was at POP. POP buses are usually crowded in the mornings, but the AS buses were never crowded first thing in the morning. In fact the morning I went to AK I was the only one on the bus. He stopped at AS Music, no one got on, he then went to AS Movies and picked up one family before we went straight to the park. I didn't have to stand all week.

We have stayed at Pop three times and I have never had to wait for a bus more than 10 minutes (and that was in the morning when it was really busy). One day we were wondering exactly how long it took to get to MK so we timed it - 18 minutes.

Hi, minnie61650!

It's been in the last few years. We always, always have a rental car, so the only bus we ever take is the one to the Magic Kingdom. And it was totally random whether it had stopped at one of the other resorts before it arrived at ASMu or not. It just wasn't worth the stress for us, since it is so inconvenient to drive to the Magic Kingdom.

And in Pop Century's favor, we never had a long wait for the Magic Kingdom bus whether coming or going, which I also liked.

Pop has the best bus service at WDW. (my opinion)

now it has the most guests at WDW too.

so you might be waiting - but Pop buses come pretty fast - the line is just the problem.

plus at night some people would rather wait than stand - especially if they have kids.

so pay attention - if the bus driver ask for people who will stand - volunteer - quick!!!

this seems to happen more at Pop than the other resorts.
