Does anyone have any knowledge of how the bus service has been at AoA? We're trying to figure out what to do for an upcoming trip. Car rentals are high (especially if we get it from the airport), but the concept of fighting over bus space with upwards of 10k people staying at that resort has me concerned. Any experiences or reports would be greatly appreciated!

Just got back yesterday from a week at AoA and we had no problems whatsoever with the busses.

We stayed at AOA two nights (12/31-1/2) and had no problems at all! It was great ;) we never waited and the busses weren't full!
I had a much better bus experience the first two days at my WDW vacation (at AOA) than the next 5 days when we stayed at FQ :p
I should probably mention that we have a wheelchair in our party. But it actually didn't make a difference, other than we were the first to get on the bus...

AoA has a capacity of 10K??????:scared1:

I can't say whether or not they have a capacity that is different than their bed count. However...

1,120 suites at 6 per suite = 6,720
864 rooms a 4 per room = 3,456
Total capacity = 10,176

Even if you figure an average of 5 in each suite and 3 in each room, you are at nearly 8,200 people when the resort is 'full.'

There is a great thread regarding AoA, with items about the bus service.

I saw it and will continue to view it. However, to be honest, I simply don't have the fortitude to wade through 200 pages of posts for a fe random posts about my particular question.

Bus service at AoA is fine. Stayed there in Dec, and will be there in May. They don't share with other resorts. But I assume that they can share with Pop if there were to be a need.
Yes, it's a big resort, but the bus stops were never overcrowded. If you are there at a time that the resort is operating at full capacity, you have bigger issues than the bus service there...the parks will be hugely crowded as well...:lmao:

We were at AoA last week and didn't have any problems with the buses in either direction. We never had to wait for a second bus, but we did stand on many trips. I think the longest we ever waited for a bus was 5 minutes.

We were there during the week last week (not the super-crowded weekend which may have made a difference?) and we also had good luck with buses. Never waited longer than 10 minutes and rarely had to stand.

We stayed at art of animation in September and had no issues with the bus service... Never waited more than 10 minutes
