Bus Service at AKL Jambo House

Will be staying at ALK Jambo house for the first time at the end of May. How is the bus service? Debating on whether or not to rent a car.

The bus service if fine. Just keep in mind in stops at Kidani first and then goes to Jambo accept for the DTD bus that goes to Jambo first and then Kidani.....I see people ask this question all the time and I honestly don't know what the issue is...I love the bus service here!

We have always had really good bus service at Jambo. We are rope-droppers, and the buses usually have room for us to sit when we get on in the AM. One drawback to having a car at Jambo is the walk to the parking lot. We had a car when we were there in December and frequently had to park at least halfway back in the lot from the front of the resort. Of course, it's nothing like the distance to the lot at BWV

I agree, I have found no problems with bus service there.

Well, I have had busses arrive at Jambo without seating in the AM.

I was just at Jambo House last week! I didn't have any issues with bus service.

We just got back from Kidani on Sunday and I was really surprised at how great the bus service was. No complaints at all! There was only one morning that not everyone could fit on the bus that was waiting at the Jambo bus stop.

As noted, service is fine. Just make sure you account for about 20 or so mins to get to your destinations and you're golden. Don't expect the bus to be waiting for you, leave as soon as you step on, and whisk you away!

Sooooo much easier than messing with a car.

We've only rented a car once while at AKV. I have read multiple reports on these boards about the "poor bus service" at AKV, but honestly, we have never experienced that in multiple stays there. We have had no different experience at AKV than we have at any other resort. You'll be fine.

Due to lack of seating on buses in the AM (not just at DVC resorts), we usually rent a car due to one of our party's issues with standing on a moving bus. that said, each trip we utilize the buses a few times, mostly to MK or DTD. We've experienced the longest waits for a bus at Jambo during non-peak hours (hasn't stopped us from adding on there, we love it!)

I allow a good hour+ pre ADRs when using the buses to get to parks.
