We are staying in a hotel at the north end of I-DRIVE.

Does anyone know how i would get from I-drive to the disney parks. We can't drive so need public transport.

Any help would be great.

The Lynx bus system and the I-drive trollys will get you there with some work. It is not straightforward.
Here is the Lynx link: http://www.golynx.com/schedule.cfm?route=50

Here are directions using the Lynx route 50, 21 and 8:
Lynx can get you from Disney to Universal. Lynx buses are safe, comfortable and VERY inexpensive. The trip is a little complicated, but I'll detail below everything you need to know to get there:

1. At the Ticket and Transportation Center, board Lynx's route #50 (at :05 and :35 past each hour). Deposit $1.10 for each fare in exact monies (bills and/or coins) and ask for "transfers". You'll have a 15 - 20 minute trip to Seaworld.

2. Get off the #50 at Seaworld and wait for link (route) #8. As you board #8, give the transfers and tell the driver that you'll transfer again at Wet 'N Wild. The driver will punch and return your transfer to you. You'll have about a 15 -minute ride from Seaworld up to Wet 'N Wild.

3. At Wet 'N Wild, get off #8 somewhere around International Dr./Universal Blvd. and walk to the Lynx bus stop ON Universal Blvd. next to the Wet 'N Wild parking lot. Transfer there to . . . .

4. Link #21 which will zip you up into Universal's main entrance in less than 5 minutes. As you board, just give your transfer to the driver.

Now, this isn't exactly what you are asking, but the key is that if you reverse the process, it takes you from I-Drive to WDW. This isn't exactly an easy process but it gets you there if you have patience. If you read the schedule for the route 8 bus, you see that it takes you from International Drive/Westwood Blvd (where your motel may be) to the Orange County Convention Center to Wet n Wild. Then you transfer to the route 50 bus to WDW.

And, you must also know how to use the I-Drive trolley system for which here is the link: http://www.orlando-internationaldrive.com/trolley/default.htm

There can be many reasons to not drive in Orlando, especially for British Visitors who are worried about driving on the wrong side of the road. The International Drive Trolley Bus System is ideally suited for you...

Trolley's operate from 8.00am to 10.30pm 7 days a week at approx 20 minute intervals.

Calling at Belz Mall, Wet n' Wild, The Mercado, Orlando Orange County Convention Center, SeaWorld, Orlando Premium Outlets and all the Stores & Restaurants in-between.

Most hotels in this area will either have a free shuttle service to Universal Studios or even Walt Disney World (one or the other, sometimes even both).

Mears Bus Company runs shuttles between all the area hotels and all the parks (not just Disney).

I am sure your hotel reception will have details.

A few things have changed since this info was correct. the 50 will take you to seaworld then you can transfer to the link 8 that will go north on I drive to the belz factory outlet malls (north end of I drive) there aren't very many hotels on I drive south of sea world however most of them are serviced by the I ride trolley. Also fare on board LYNX busses starts at $1.25 however some LYNX are $2.00.

This has given me an idea of how to get from a few place, we are staying near wet and wild.

i have heard of the I-trolleys and will probally be using this a lot and now i have heard of linx i will have a look a look at there site.

I know we have a free service to get to seaworls and universal but its doesn't say anything about disney parks but if i ask at my hotel they should help me work this out?

does linx have a weekly pass like I- trolleys?

Actually, Mears only runs for Hyatt, Peabody, Gaylord, and maybe one or two others. The rest contract out to other companies such as Caribbean Island, Town & Country, and Orlando Bus, LTD. Typically most area hotels will have shuttle service to some extent. Some free, some not so free.
