Bus for early non-character breakfast?

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I've read several places that WDW has busses running earlier for CHARACTER breakfasts before the regular parks bus routes start up. What if I have ADRs at Yacht Club Galley at 7am? I am staying at ASM if that makes any difference. Will there be busses running that time to get us there in time? If not, I need to cancel that ressie asap and try to find something else. Any info would be deeply appreciated!! TIA

Getting to the YC that early will be kind of tough. The buses for the Character Breakfasts do run early but they usually take you to the parks. So you have to take a bus to a park and then get over to the YC. Generally they will not take you to the YC.
If you want to keep your reservation, you can take a cab, otherwise you can take the bus to MGM and then walk over to the YC.

That's going to be an issue. The early buses run to the parks. I guess you could try to head to MK on an early bus, and then try to catch a bus to YC/BC. But that's going to be really iffy.
You can get a cab. Or change your ADR.

You should still be able to do it.

Be out at the bus stop around 6:20-6:30. Wait for the Disney-MGM Studios bus. Let the driver know you are going to Yacht Club Galley. They will instruct you from there.

Worst case scenario... driver tells you they can't take you there, and you walk 10 feet over to the Porte Cochere and catch a cab.

Looks like I'll be ok, just called the 407-wdw-dine number with the thought of changing my ADR to another location , but asked if the 7am at Yacht Club galley would be the least bit do-able w/WDW transportation. CM Natalie was a peach and checked and confirmed that we can do this, but we will need to check w/concierge desk to let them know we will need WDW transportation arranged for that day & time. WOW...I feel so important! lol I now know that they will arrange this for anyone if you take the time to ask.
WHEW....cuz I was looking at my itinerary and was having a hard time coming up w/another TS meal that had something my kids would eat, without duplicating a resteraunt we are already doing that week. Plus with the trip being next week, I'd probably be hard pressed to find any ADRs left!

Wow that's quite amazing that the CM was willing to do that, I had no idea that transport could be arranged like that, its really useful to know, thanks for posting! party:

I would not count on WDW transportation, the CMs at the dining number are not familar with the WDW transportation...in fact generally when you call the dining # they tell you there are no buses to the character breakfasts and that you have to provide your own transportation. In all my trips I have never had WDW provide me with special transportation. What you might find is that the Concierge desk will call you a cab.

I'm not sure why they told you to go to the Concierge desk... there's really nothing they can do.

That's great, but I would be prepared for any "arranged" transportation direct to YC to be something you'll have to pay for. By all means check when you get there, and I hope you do end up getting it provided for free, but specifically ask ahead of time if there will be a charge (if you have not already - if you have, then great for you, and you can just ignore me).

I had wondered that too, so when CM Natalie told me this could be done, I did ask if it meant taking a taxi and she said no, it would be WDW transportation. I have heard that sometimes specilized CMs may not know an answer to a question not dealing with their specialty. She did put me on hold while she checked with somebody. I will be realistic and not freak out if we wind up needing a taxi.
This is our 1st time of property so I have a page of questions for the front desk/concierge CMs regarding what busses do we take, what time should we be at bus stop for each days itinerary etc. So I will be asking about this on my 1st day there.
I will try to pop back on and post my results to this situation when I get back, just to let people know the outcome.

I really hate to be a 'negative Nellie' here, but please, please, be careful of what those front desk CMs tell you regarding transportation. I consider myself to be pretty knowledgale when it comes to WDW transportation issues, and I have to tell you...I have shuddered when I have overhead a CM tell a guest how to best get from here to there. While at the AKL, waiting for a bus to MK, I overheard one woman telling her dh that the front desk, inside, had told them to take the MK bus and that it would get them to the GF!! There were several people that were in wheelchairs in their group of 12. She was incensed that there was no direct transportation, from resort to resort. She was not happy that they would have to travel on a MK bus. I 'helpfully' mentioned to here that the bus to MK wouldn't take her to the GF but they could board either a boat or the monorail to the GF from MK. No, she told me, she was going to go directly to GF, the bus driver was going to take her there first!!! I told her that wasn't the way it worked....she wanted to know how close the monorail was, I told her, she wasn't happy about having to walk, in the drizzle, alll the way over there!!! Yep, she got some not so great info from the front desk.
Ask those who wear the purple pants aka the bus drivers. They know best. Now, with that said....while at the Polynesian, back in '01, we had returned to pick up our kids at the Neverland Club, after a wonderful meal at CG. It was late, so we asked to have a cab called to return us to POR. The kid there told us to give him a minute, he disappeared and returned with one of those white WDW vans. He and a friend took us back to POR...it was a great trip, we had some great discussion with the boys. They got a nice $10 tip. Now I'm not sure they were supposed to do that, but they did. Also, when we checked into BWV on Thanksgiving Day, there was a comedy of errors regarding our villa. We ended up being close to late for our ADR at Chef Mickeys. Alfredo, the manager at that time, told us to just come down to the lobby and they would get us transportation to the CR.
So, it may be very likely that they will get you a ride to the YC. If not, you can always get a cab called. Either way, you'll get there in time for breakfast. Hope your trip is terrific. Be sure to come back and tell us how it all worked out!!!

I don't mind negative Nellie-isms lol I consider it thinking for all contingencies! Whatever happens, I won't let it spoil the day and will def report back.
Thanks again for all the thoughts/ideas/warnings.

JUST 4 MORE DAYS!!!
