Bus, boat help .. please :-)

Our family is going to OKW for the very first time. We've been to WDW, but have stayed off site. This is probably a pretty basic question .. but here goes. Can we catch the bus from OKW and take it directly to the Beach Club Resort or Boardwalk and how does that all work? We would like to take the bus/boat to different resorts and parks & just need to know how it all works. Thank you all very much!!

To get to a resort from a resort, you need to go to a park (or DTD)first.

From the OKW, take a bus to the park that is closest to the resort you want to go. Except...

To get to any of the Epcot resorts, go to MGM and take the boat or walk to the resorts (e.g. Boardwalk)

So to go to either Beach Club or Boardwalk, your best bet would probably be to take the bus to MGM, then walk over. The walk (along the canal) isn't too long for Boardwalk (15 mins or so), a little longer to Beach Club (20-25 mins). If you want to go to DTD shopping from OKW, make sure you take the little boat that leaves from the rear of the HH. It's such a nice ride, comfortable seats too!
