I noticed on Yesterland's website it said that in WDW's Magic Kingdom, there is a burning settler's cabin. I have never seen this before! Where is it located? I assume it's either something that can only be seen from the train or from Tom Sawyer's Island.

It is a show scene for the Riverboat ride that goes around Tom Sawyer Island. You can also see it from the train and Big Thunder Mountain (if you are paying attention). The only problem is that it is not always "burning". Many of the burners have been out for sometime now and the ones that are still operating are not always on.

If you walk along the path in liberty square on the water side, look over at tom sawyers island and you can see it. I have never ridden the Sternwheeler, but I am guessing the best view of the burning cabin would be to ride it.

Change "not always" to "no longer" and you're dead on. The "Burning Cabin" is now known as the "Burnt-Out Cabin".

Re-Imagineering has an excellent bit on it's demise here.
