Burning cd's

I'm getting ready to download a bazillion pictures from my laptop to cd's, and was wondering what is the best type of cd to use? I've read on the DIS before that some cd's don't last forever. I had NO idea about this, and only want to use cd's that will keep my pictures safe for a long time, if possibly forever! I'm sure they would come with a higher price tag, but it would be worth it to me. As you can see from my tag, "I love to take pictures!", and I need a safe way to keep them for years to come!

I'm not aware of any brand being better than the other. What I do know is that some people buy into the myth that CD's are indestructable. They need to be kept clean and dry.

Just make sure everything trasfered correctly and then put them in a cool, dry place.
