Day Two-Saturday 10/6
Up early today because we have 7:40am PS at Cindys. We hop on the 1st boat from WL to MK, which is at 7:30am. Needless to say, we had to haul butt to get to the castle. We were 10 minutes late, but had no problems. Fairy Godmother was not in the lobby when we got there, but we did admire the beautiful castle. Food was alright but not great, eggs, apple pancakes, bacon, crouissants and muffins. We had a real nice waiter (even signed are autograph books) My 2 daughters loved meeting the princesses; Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Mary Poppins and Price Charming. My one year old could have cared less!
The Fairy Godmother was in the lobby was we were leaving, but it was way too crowded to stop and see her.
Off to Fantasyland to do Peter Pan, Small World, Legend of Lion King, Winnie the Pooh, Carroussel. It is very ahrd to explain to a just turned 4 year old about Fastpass..."Yes honey, we are going to ride Winnie the Pooh, just not for another hour!"
We met Ariel in her Grotto, but by 1pm it was gettign too hot and way too crowded. Although it wasnt in my plans, we headed back to the WL for a dip in the pool.
This really refreshed us! Sipped a pina coloda and relaxed.
I forgot to metion in my day one report that we met fellow DIS poster imgoingtodisney (aka barb) and her lovely family. It was great to meet in person someone I have chatted with so much!
We then took our car over to Grand Floridian for dinner with Pooh at 1900 Park Fare. We really enjoyed this meal. Nice queit restaurant with good food. We met Winnie, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore. By now my one year was getting used to these large guys and started kissing them!! It was toooo cute.
We left our car at the GF and took the monorail over to MK to catch the only Spectomagic and fireowrks that was scheduled that week. It took us 20 minutes to get through security the park was so crowded. Luckily becuase of the crowds, disney rescheduled a 10pm parade that had been previously cancelled. So while everyone was watching the 8pm parade, we took off for Tommorrowland. We even got to walk behind "the park" becasue main street was so crowded they led us through the back way to tomorrowland. We did Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear. We staked out a nice spot there (near Spcae Mountian by the thing that squirts water) to watch Tinkerbelle fly and fireworks. What a great show!!
We then headed toward Main St. to watch Spectromagic but got kicked out of each seat
we tried to take...it was either going to be roped off or for hanicapped. We wlaked across the bridge towards Liberty Square and found a great spot. Such a pretty parade. Our pins were lighting uo and the kids were so exicted.
We then made are way through the crowds to head back to WL and had a quick swim before passing out!!
Stay tuned...day 3 Typhoon Laggon and Epcot WS.
