Burgers?

Please help me out. My Mother and My niece will be going with us on my next trip. Now my mom had bypass surgery and does not each much and My niece well she is a 10 year old girl who won't sit long enough to eat much.
So my question is can I use one counter service credit to get one double cheeseburger meal and then get/buy the extra bun? In essence I would then make two meals with the one credit. Does this make sense? Again although I have been to Disney many times I have never used the dining plan.

Yes you can get one meal and share among yourselves. We share meals all the time. If you go to a table service location, you can tell them if you want to share and often they will split it onto separate plates in the kitchen.
Disney buns are terrible, I recommend just cutting the burger into pieces.
With your dining credits, you can also get the big combo meals like at Cosmic Rays that include roast chicken and ribs and potatoes and veg plus dessert and drink. That might be easier to share and easier for your mom to eat than bread products.
