Burgers on the go in the Parks

Hello there,
I have a interesting questions. My husband tries very hard to eat clean. He is a bodybuilder. He tries to eat healthy for breakfast and dinner. As you can imagine it can be challenging at DW. But sometimes he just wants a good burger. We are looking for a good (at least decent) burger at a QS location in the parks. For an over the top we would probably go to D-lux at DS. But any suggestions for the parks?

In my experience, the ones in the parks are all the same. They really aren't the best; they're kind of precooked and have little flavor.

If I wanted a good one, DLux sounds way better!

You will find, though, that it isn't too hard to find good, healthy food for his clean eating. Just look ahead at menus to plan your day.

For breakfasts, you can get things like scrambled eggs alone at food courts, fruits, and also they have salads at most places with proteins, I often get dressing on the side.

Also you can have groceries delivered to your room from places too - order things like peeled hard boiled eggs, cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, fruits.

Agree with the PP's that there really isn't a good burger in the parks. We do like the burger at the Dolphin Fountain though.

My DH eats burgers almost exclusively at QS (he is the most boring eater ever) and as far as in park ones, the best we found was at Liberty Inn at Epcot. The actual burger patty was the same as all other QS, but the bun was so much better than the standard dry buns. I believe it was a brioche bun and it made all the difference in the world for the burger.

Not exactly "in the park" but Victoria Falls Lounge has a great burger! Tim Tracker posted about this a few days ago. Jump to about 8:45 in the video below

Tough to find a REALLY good burger in the parks, let alone a good bun.
Yup

The kobe beef burger at Yak & Yeti is delicious, but it's a TS, not QS.

I was really excited when the Royal Guard Burger appeared because it was a different bun & I thought it might be better than the usual sad buns.

Before eating that burger, I would not have thought it was possible for bread to be too dry & too soggy at the same time. The bun on that Royal Guard Burger achieved it.

I would imagine QS burgers are about the same at any location, save for the specialty ones like at Disney Springs. For TS burgers, Sci Fi Dine In at DHS and Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club are our favorites.

Again, not QS, but Grand Floridian Cafe has a good burger on their TS menu. Just a quick monorail ride from MK.

The burgers are just not that good in the parks and they are all the same unless you get one at a TS.. The burgers at the resorts while the same as at the parks taste better as they are cooked to order not sitting under a heat lamp...

In all of our years visiting WDW we have never gotten a decent burger. QS are down right nasty, especially the buns! You couldn't pay me to eat one.

Same here! I know folks who think food at Disney must be your typical theme park burgers & fries junk food! I tried one last day of our last trip, and couldn't eat half (made the same mistake the year before - different place, same no flavor burger, and the bun, oh the bun....). There is so much variety at Disney, though! Lesson learned, unless it's a table service meal, and I'm craving one, not gonna happen!

It's sad, but really, they need to be cooked well done, and some places especially they're serving so darn many of them, that they just crank them out.

If I were at Disney Springs, D-Lux burger sounds like folks like them. Personally, though, now Disney Springs is just a big outdoor mall to me, and the bus to return to the resort took forever, so it was miserable to me (I don't care for shopping, at home or on vacation). Doubt I'll go back, unless DD wants one last chance to say goodbye to her beloved Disneyquest!
