Bunkbeds at WL or AKL

If you request a room w/ bunkbeds at these resorts, are you pretty much assured of getting one? Or are there only a few rooms w/ these bed types? Are these rooms more expensive than a "standard?"

The pricing at AKL is dependent on view (std vs savannah). There are also some deluxe rooms on the 5th floor that are slightly larger. These are slightly more expensive than the rooms on 2nd - 4th floors. I don't know how many rooms have bunk beds, but I think there are quite a few. We requested and got a room with them on our recent stay. You'll LOVE this resort!

Bunkbed rooms are not more expensive than rooms with 2 queens at either resort. I believe the layout is such that all connecting rooms are one of each type - ie connecting rooms will be a bunkbed/queen room connected to a 2 queen room.

There are several hundred bunkbed rooms at either resort so the odds should be good that you will be able to get one. We've stayed at each one time and asked for bunkbeds and gotten them each time.

Just to add my 2 cents, we just returned a few weeks ago from the AKL, rquested bunkbeds and got them. Also on our last trip there last year we requested and got bunkbeds too. I think they really try to give you your requests if they can. My family loves the bunkbeds, they work so well for us (a boy and a girl). I wish more resorts had them as an option for families.

All 4 trips to WL....and 2 of those trips were during the VERY busy Christmas season!

have to say....for kids NOT used to sharing a bed...those bunk beds are a life saver....and last trip my teens-14 &16 were still using them.

Thanks for the post and the affirmation. We requested bunk beds at WL and feel better that we will get them. We have two boys, stepbrothers, so queens are out of the question.
