I have searched the threads and can't find anything about the bunk bed rooms at Park Vue Inn. The hotel website makes them sound like they are new. Has anyone stayed in one?

Also, do they have some sort of bar to stop kids rolling out of the top bunk and could we fit a port-a-crib in the room?

Thanks.

My friends stayed in the bunk bed room last year (I think they've had them for a while now so maybe not new??). It is very cramped in that room.

There is a rail on top that goes almost the whole way down the side of the bed. My friends also used a port-a-crib and it only fits in one spot right next to the queen bed. There literally isn't much room to move around let alone put your luggage etc.

My family stayed in the queen/queen room as our kids are older and I much preferred being on the second floor with more room. Our room felt huge compared to theirs. They had to store their stroller in the trunk because there was no where in the room to put it at night.

Hope that helps you.

That's very helpful, thanks.

We have stayed at Desert Inn & Suites before but my DH has some irrational fear about having the kids in the front room closest to the door. Also I thought the older kids might sleep better in bunk beds than having to share a bed and kicking each other.

Oh, and I also like the look of the Park Vue pool better than the indoor one Desert Inn has.

However if we're cramped at Park Vue maybe we should go with the Desert Inn. We plan to fix a few simple meals/snacks in the room and it doesn't sound like we'll have room to sit and eat.

There wasn't anywhere to sit other than the bed. No place for a table and chairs. There was a small desk area attached to the dresser but that's it.

We stayed in one of their bunkbed rooms a couple of weeks ago. We looked in the 2 Queen rooms and they were bigger, but our 2 kids enjoyed having bunkbeds. Everything was pretty cramped, but we definetly enjoyed our stay there! The pool/hottub were never busy when we were around - which was very nice. I'll TRY to get the pics downloaded and post the room pics for ya.

We stayed there in Dec 2006 in a king/bunk bed room. I HATED it . It was very cramped. We also had to put up a cot for DD. There was not even room for our luggage or to even walk. The floors were dirty and their vanity was inside the bathroom. It took a lot longer to get ready in the morning. Their breakfast was good though.

We are staying at the Desert Inn in Sept and Dec this year.We have stayed there a couple of other times and like them better. Their vanities are outside the bathroom. They seem to be cleaner and cheaper. The breakfast is just ok, but it is breakfast.

I would stay at the Park Vue in again if the price was right and only in a 2 queen room. HTH.

Here's a picture of the bunkbeds (and my cute kiddos!)
