Bumping ?????????

I have figured out what DD, DW, DD, DSIL, etc. are. I cannot figure out what BUMPING is. I have read several postings with BUMPING in same. Could someone please explain.

Bumping is when someone will just add the word bump to a thread to get it back up to the top of the list. This usually happens when someone asks a question and doesn't get an answer right away. Then the person who asked it or someone else who may not know the answer bumps it back up.

You see the latest post always goes to the top of the tread.
