bumping?

what is bumping mean? i see them all over the boards, especially the budget ones.

As more and more threads get added, the older ones begin to move toward the bottom of page one and then to page two, et cetera. They only move up if there is activity on the message.

So, if someone has a question that really hasn't gotten answered yet, they go back to their thread and write "bump". That way it moves toward the top of the list and has a better chance of being seen by others.
