Bump Out Balcony

I am trying to decide between two rooms on Fantasy. I want Concierge Level 12, but am trying to decide whether it's better to be closer to the Lounge (I practically live in there on a cruise!) or have a bump out balcony (I also love to sit out on the balcony!) Any thoughts?

I guess I would choose the bump-out. You are still on the same floor as the lounge, just a few doors further down. I believe those verandahs have room for loungers in addition to the chairs.

Any time you can get more space on a ship, take it. It's only a few steps down the passageway to the lounge. Here is the bump out for 12510. We loved it.

We've been in 12510 multiple times on the Fantasy (and we have 12508 for Bermuda on the Fantasy next year). The larger veranda is great and you're right across from the side entrance to the lounge.

Love both the one-bedroom suites and the family-size concierge rooms and have stayed starboard in both types many times. The bumpout is a fantastic extra bit of room - it is deep enough that you can request lie-flat loungers to be placed out there and your stateroom host will make it happen (we usually pre-request with other concierge items). You will not be walking far to get to the lounge at all. There is the front door down by the elevators, but a side door into the lounge just a door or two down from the bumpout rooms. Drops you right into the area with the buffet and coffee maker. Heaven on earth.

We had a bump out in room 12008 on the Dream. We didn't use it nearly as much as I thought we would. I had requested the loungers with the thought of chillaxing on the balcony, but every time I was out on the balcony I was more interested in watching what was going on. So I ended up either standing at the railing or sitting in the chair right next to it. We may have used them more if we had a sea day, but I loved watching all of the activity pulling in and out of port.
