Bummed--my refrigerator broke. . .

Well, when we bought the refrigertor when we built our house in 2002, we thought we were getting a good deal. But there have been 2 recalls on it and it has been nothing but trouble. So. . .when it went berserk last night, I started looking not at repairs (we could have bought a new one with all the repairs we've put into it) but at a new refrigerator. Which will take up our vacation fund. Because I want a good refrigerator that I won't have to have fixed every year for 6 years. So. . .no August trip for us. We'll be going in November. Which might not be bad anyway. Last Thanksgiving everyone was at our house and it was a nightmare.

Aww ss for your fridge trouble....I can only imagine what a pain that was. As for not going in August that stinks , but if it makes you feel any better, you'll get to see Disney all decked out in it's holiday finery...it is truly a beautiful sight to see. Not to mention that you won't have all the August rain and it will be alot less crowded.

Our 3 1/2 year old fridge went out as well. You may want to look at lowes. right now they are having a no payments, no interest financing for 12 months on purchases over $250.

This may allow you to still get in your august trip.

We went with a samsung bottom drawer freezer unit that displays the temps on the outside. (we kept ruining food when the compressor wasn't working correctly on our old one).

Thanks--we have a Lowes card, but we recently paid off all of our cards and are not willing to buy anything without the cash to pay for it. So, Thanksgiving it is. On the bright side, we spent over $300 on Thanksgiving last year. This year we'll have that for spending money and a nice dinner at the resorts. And none of that mess from the family for Thanksgiving.
