Built our own Soarin Ride

:yay:
Me! Me!
I'm in the Twin Cities metro area (north metro).

When I just knew you were in MN, I was going to suggest you contact Channel 5 for the On the Road program. I think your video you shot was better than some of the stories they show on there. (Although, I'm not sure you want to show them the fireworks that actually go off the ground :rolleyes1

SueM, you're closer than you know! I sent them "Jason" an email and they sounded interested but didn't get it until after the 4th. I tried to tell them they could still come out for Soarin but no reply. I should send them this thread so they understand better how the Disney fans enjoyed it. Thanks! :)

I have wanted to move to Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina or Tennesee (my DH and I used to live in Virginia and love the south) for the longest time.

I do believe this is the first time I've wished we lived in MN!!! :rotfl: But now, we might have to think about it.

Soarin' is one of my favorite rides. I've loved it from the beginning. And Epcot is my family's favorite park........my kids just love it, even when they were younger (my personal favorite park is MK but Epcot is a close second).

If you were my kids' uncle, you would have the title "World's coolest Uncle" until the end of time! I don't use this word often because I think it is over used.........but that was totally AWESOME!! :cool1:

Congrats on a great recreation! It was so much fun to watch and I bet funner to ride. What was the other recreations you found on utube?

FANTASTIC:goodvibes :goodvibes

WHAT A SHOW

How long did it take to put the soaring show together?
TOtally amazing......
You could sell tickets:rotfl: :rotfl:

Someone posted a "Tower of Terror" re-creation like 2 days earlier than ours. They put in a LOT of work but its a little harder to watch and appreciate. There is also a "Phantasmic" re-creation but in all truth I didn't quite get it, other than they put some water fountain jumpers to lights and music.

Bravo! This is really fabulous!!! Any plans to recreate another ride? This seriously gave me chills watching what you've done!

If you mean the whole ride it took a number of months. The video part alone was done and then improved and improved over a few months. I wish I could boil it down to hours but needless to say, a lot more than you'd think. ;)

Thank you SO much for sharing these with us. You are truly an amazing techno person!! And I can't even program my DVR!

thankyouthankyouthankyou!!!

Answer is yes, though the one we want to do is a tall order and we're not sure how to pull it off. So I'll wait to say until we are sure. Thanks :cool2:

:worship: This is amazing!!

I'll pay you to build one of those in my backyard!!

Amazing!!!! I feel like I just went around the WS while watching your video...but my feet don't hurt.
