Looking at the resort map for POR, I choose building 14 or 15 because we wanted to be near the main building/food court. Well I just read in the UG today that building 15 is noisy (traffic from a highway?) I hate to call & change my reservation again..anyone stay in 15 & can report there experience? Thanks

By "highway", they must have meant Sassagoula Circle, the road the runs along the outside of POR. We once stayed in Bldg. 24, which is as close to the "circle" as Bldg. 15 and I don't remember hearing any noise from traffic. I really don't think it would be a problem but we never stayed in Bldg. 15 so I can't say for sure.

I was in bldg 16 and I didn't hear a peep at any time. I guess we weren't on the pathway where people walk. Honestly, over Spring Break I never heard anyone being loud while walking on the paths by the resorts. I was extra careful to keep my children quiet while near the actual bldgs with resort rooms b/c there may be napping babies orsomeone trying to get to late (or early EMH). I don't know if it's the overall serenity of the resort, but I didn't see anyone going wild by the bldgs.

I have stayed in bldg. 15, once right on the parking lot side. There is a small road behind that where the bus travels as it goes around the resort. I never heard any noise.
14, 15, 18 and 28 are the most convenient bldgs.

OK so we are the difficult ones we want to be as far off the beaten path in AB as we can but also don't want to look at a parking lot any ideas?

We've stayed in AB buildings 14, 15, and 18 and in Parterre Place. All were very quiet. I don't recall ever hearing cars. Every once in a while you'll hear someone walk outside your room, but it's not intrusive. AB 14, 15 and 18 are all very convenient to the main building and pool. I wouldn't worry about it.

Mulgar - take a look at the resort map to see what AB buildings would suit you. I think any of AB 25 - 28 and 38 and 39 would be ideal for you.

I meant to include the link to the map. Here it is: http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/port-riverside.htm

enjoy!

We just got back from POR and we were in building 36 and it was pretty far away. It was close to one of the pools and the North Depot bus stop, but not so close that you heard everything. It was quite peaceful.
