Thinking of staying a night or two at the DH. We haven't stayed there, yet. Can anyone recommend a building to request? We've only been inside the hotel when we went to Goofy's Kitchen and we didn't know which building was which :goodvibes

:thanks:

There are three towers at the DLH. I think I've got their names correct:

1. The Marina Tower, on the north side of the hotel is where the check-in lobby and the gift shop is. It's also the closest tower to Goofy's kitchen and connects with their "Convention Center." Views are of the pool area on one side and the parking lot on the other. I'm told that one can see the fireworks at night from the parking lot side, but I'm not sure.

2. The Sierra Tower, on the east side has views of Downtown Disney and the pool area. Some of the lower level rooms have a view of a small greenbelt and I've seen them set up outdoor wedding ceremonies there in the past. :)

3. The Bonita Tower, on the south side is the farthest from all the action at the hotel (i.e., pool, gift shop). From its position, it has views of a parking lot/garage, Disney admin building and the Paradise Pier Hotel area on one side and the center of the hotel on the other side. It is also right next to the DLR's "waterfalls" which is a really nice area to walk through.

Hope that helps you decide.

We had a standard room and were in the Marina tower overlooking the parking lot. At night you could see the fireworks from our room.

Thank you both! The Marina side sounds great. Is that the closest to the Downtown Disney walkway? thanks again

No the Sierra side is closest. It's also where the concierge lounge is, (up on the top floor) and you can see the fireworks from there, too. You'd have either a downtown Disney or pool view in the Sierra.

You can have a view of the fireworks from the Marina Tower too, my brother just got back today from his stay. They were on the 7th floor and had a wonderful view of the fireworks both nights they showed them during his visit. The Bonita is maybe a two minute further walk, if that. We love that one because we enjoy walking through those waterfalls at night. We had a wonderful view in the Bonita Tower once of Big Thunder Mountain and the Matterhorn. We could also see Knotts and I think downtown LA far off in the distance. All three towers have their advantages and disadvantages, I always don't request a specific tower but wait and see whats available when I get there. In five stays we have always enjoyed each room and location.
